There was a loose free improv scene when i lived in Newcastle about 20 years ago, but it looks like things have moved on a lot. back then, the people doing it were rather indulging themselves - always a danger with this type of thing - but this avoids the pitfalls and sounds really good. it takes a particular type of dedication and belief in what you're doing to pull this kind of thing off convincingly, but you guys do it really well.
