How to copy dvds. A Dvd Shrink tutorial

I backed up the same movie twice already, and I was able to get it onto a disk, but I can not find the Video_ts or Audio_ts files in the folder they should be in. If I look at the different folders I can save to on Shrink DVD I can see that the files are all there, and they will play with VLC Player but when I click off of it, I can not find the files in the folders they should be in. Can anyone help me?

@shakooba .....lol thx another good DVD copier is DVDFAB. If Dvdshrink every having a problem coping DVD's then give Fab a try....

I was wondering if you help me... everytime i use DVD shrink and put it into my dvd player afterwards it wont play at the beginning of the movie it jumps to different parts of the movie why is this happening?

i figured it out, i have a dvd burner.. it was because i had nero 9 and they made it so dvdshrink wont recognize it. i had to switch back to nero 7 and it works perfectly

it says on dvd shrink when i go to backup the files to the hard drive if i want to burn please install nero....and i already have nero with my comp....i tried reinstalling it and restarting the comp...any help?? plz or can you atleast tell me a diff good burning software? thanks!

do u have a DVD burner or just a DVD ROM? imgburn and you can get that from download(dot)com use the build mode.

Great video. What version of nero do you use though? i tried to burn rush hour with shrink and nero 8 and it failed. same with rush hour 2.

why does this take up so much space? i thought the purpose of this program was to "shrink" the dvd files. its using like 4.2 gbs every time i copy one of movies.... am i doing something wrong?

haha i feel ya. this is mostly for copying DVD's if you want to rip dvd's you will need something like magic DVD Ripper or Next DVD Copyer (free) ill send u the link in the next email.

The disc is formatted with a structure that Shrink can't work with try anther dvd ripper like DVDfab, anydvd, or try running dvd43 in the background that might work

no you need handbreak or freeDVDRipper or Magic DVD Ripper (reconmend) these programs will convert it into mp4 video so u can put it on a Ipod

So quite a few of my completed DVDs stop in the middle. I use Nero 8 on Vista. Sometimes, they'll freeze also. Any ideas?

try some other dvd ripper like dvdfab, free dvd ripper, handbreak(slow but works & you will need DVD43) also if you have DVD43 you can use nero recode, dvd decrypter, magic DVD ripper, and many others. my favorite is magic DVD ripper but its not free unless you get a crack ver.

Thanks for the Info I got an error message wit 2 of my movies I tried doing i got message reading- data error (cyclic redundancy check) any idea why that is?

A "CRC" error is most often caused by bad media - it could be any of the following:

1. A dirty disc,

2. A scratched disc

3. A poor quality disc (cheap media if it happens during the "Burn" section of your work)

4. A bad disc from the Mfgr.

It can also be from a bad optical component in your drive. but I don't believe it's your drive. hope this helps

i downloaded dvd shrink and have used it on the past on my old comp and it worked great but i just got a laptop and i downloaded shrink and when i click "open disc" it only gets 2 4% of the preview and then says "not responding" do you know what could be causing this?

when i copy the files to image burn then to the disc will the cd i copied it to work on a dvd player or will it have to be a dvd-r

It should work on any dvd player if you have a dvd-r disc. now both dvd-r & dvd+r will work on newer dvd player. now sometimes if you have cheap dvd's they might not work at all on any dvd players. only on a computer hope this helps

no, 1 burner will be find because you are ripping it on your computer just put your blank DVD in after its done ripping it will prompt u to do so
