  • I heard the Jim Brown role was originally offered to Ving Rhames, don't get me wrong Ving is a great actor and a diversified one but there was no way he could have been as effective as Jim.

  • a classic quote. best line in the movie.

  • Great scene from an awesome movie.

The part immediately following this scene is great too. After LL Cool J's character loses the ball for the 2nd straight week, coach D'Amato screams, "Oh, COME ON!" in total exasperation at his running back. It's a small line, but the way it's acted out is vintage Pacino.

  • @devils950003 Hey don't forget during the fumble scene, they lose a starting lineman for the year. While they r carting him off, Jamie Foxx and LL Cool J are arguing over adjustments and audible determining whose fault it is. During that scene there was a funny line where James Woods the trainer tells him the lineman is hurt and Al Pacino asks how long he's out James Woods goes, "If he's lucky Easter." The theatre I was in laughed there booties off. It wasn't a comedy but great punchline.

  • @Bull1908 Oh, yeah, I loved that one too. James Woods describing the injury is priceless too...

McKenna's got a distended knee, tore everything, bloody nightmare, he's out!

Coach D'Amato...whaddya mean he's out? He's out for how long?!

  • the greatest scene in any movie! ever! hahaha!

  • best line ever!

  • This is my favorite sports movie, I have the title saved to my cell phone screen saver. Jim Brown had some of the best lines in the movie but not enough in my opinion.

  • i love this part.

  • best line in the whole movie
