  • @ulillillia ive been a great fan of yours for around 2 yrs now(just lost my first utube acc) been watching your disgaea vids for a while now u helped me alo ton the first game with clone wars and now im playing this game and i got a question. when you were around lvl 28 after leveling here was there still a bit diffuculty in the game caz i wanna level up alot but i dont wanna level up where there is no challenge at all.

  • Level up as far as you want. This place is not a very decent one, but since I like the enemies, I found it to be a worthy area to some extent for developing limit breaks, especially the Midgar Zolom (best for uses to get the second limit within a level this early). The more extreme I can powerlevel and the earlier in the game I can reach those extremes, the more enjoyment I get out of it. This seems to be true for all RPGs with me. Disgaea takes everything to the extreme.

  • I'm afraid ulillialia is right.

It's mostly a chain. 1 limit break you'd have to use 8 times to unlock the next. Once you've done that you have to kill 80 enemies to unlock the next one. The chain continues until you've unlocked all limit breaks up to 3.

For limit break 4 you have to find them and give them to they're respective characters.

Be warned you have to unlock all 6 limit breaks (except from Vincent and Cait Sith) before you can use level 4 limit breaks.

  • Got it. thank you! So this item is different from the ultimate weapons!

  • Thank you! Oh and how do you ensure getting limit 2-3 and limit 3-4 (final?)

  • I don't know what you mean by the 2-3 and 3-4 notation. Do you mean accessing limit level 3 from 2 and 4 from 3? An item is required for 4 (and not all 4's are as worthy as they seem). Simply defeating 80 enemies (even simple stuff like those in the first area you visit) will get you to the level 2 and 3 limits. Using the limit 8 times will get you the second limit within a limit level (except for all level 4 limits, Vincent, and Cait Sith).

  • @ulillillia Isnt it to unlock lvl 3 limits you have to kill 160 enemies with that character after unlocked the lvl 2 limits?

  • As far as I'm aware, it's 80. Of course, it's been quite a long time since I last played FF7 so I don't recall the fine details.

  • @ulillillia yeah I read somewhere it was 80 to unlock lvl 2 limits and then 160 to unlock lvl 3. i recently started playing ff7 again after downloading it off the psn network store and thats what it takes me to unlock lvl 3 limits.

  • @ulillillia yeah your right. you can jump from lvl 1 limit to level 2 limit without getting the second level 1 limit and so on. so with cloud it wouldnt give me cross slash but it gave me his level 2 limit first, even though i used braver more than eight times which is wierd.

  • @ulillillia well dude congratulations,u are one of those who are a master on final fantasy 7,we can be like 10 in all the world:P..i got the gold chocobo, all enemy skill, all materia, final weapons, all weapons defeated, well pretty much everything..:P

  • 6 for each person or 6 total?

  • 6 for each character (2 in each of the 3 levels), except Vincent (only one in each) and Cait Sith (only goes out to level 2). That's essentially 46 total limits (Aeris included) before the ultimate limit is obtained which otherwise makes it 55.

  • How do you level up limit breaks?

  • There are 3 ways to obtain other limits. The first is to have that character defeat 80 enemies - this opens up access to the next higher limit level. The second is to use the limits 8 times within the set level - this opens up the second limit within the selected level. The third is through special items - all 6 limits prior to limit level 4 must be obtained before the item can be used (Vincent and Cait Sith are exceptions to this rule).

  • Played this game again! Wow I still don't understand materia or how to get beta' lol

  • No Hardedge?!?

  • i thank thats the worst leveling ground ever my opion it just feels realy slow and im playing on the computer and i got a framrate skiper so its realy fast i could not level quick while i was here

  • This is among the least worthy of leveling grounds, but I still use it so I can more easily deal with the Midgar Zolom (yes, I know about using the chocobo lure, I just like the slight extra challenge).

  • Ditto bro. As much as like chocobos (and nothing says awesome more than a giant yellow chicken/duck cross over) that Zolom is just to awesome to pass up, especially since it has one of the most awesome enemy skills in the game.

  • in my opinion one of the best lvling up areas is around wutai

  • My fifth leveling ground is about as good as that of Wutai and you can access that one earlier. My sixth leveling ground is about 30% better and accessible at the same time Wutai is accessible. My sixth leveling ground is also a lame one - almost no interaction is needed - you can do crosswords, Sudoku, and other puzzles while doing it.

  • damn i was lvl 18 there cause i dont have alot of patints so i made it to lvl 20 and went on

  • This is actually one of the poorest leveling grounds. The fourth leveling ground is far, far better.

  • Comment removed

  • I actually wouldn't know. Perhaps it could be elemental+enemy weakness in your weapon's materia or a more powerful weapon that I'm unaware of?

  • might be i was useing nailbat or something around tht

  • you weren't at the same stage in the game then. the nailbat is gained in the temple of the aincients at the end of disk 1. this is MUCH earlier in the game. plus, that's pretty poor damage to be doing with the nail bat tbh. I was doing nearly 1k.

@the poster. dude, having everyone in fury will make you burn through hypers fast as hell! 0.0

  • lol i aint played in years

  • This leveling guide is amazing this game is so much easier thanks to you ^-^

  • This actually isn't a very worthy leveling ground. Numbers 4 and 6 are among the best, 4 especially (relative to the story that is).

  • yeah^^ i just forgot. maybe i should play again^^

  • why is red XIII in the party`???

  • You get him at the end of the first Midgar mission and thus, you can use him at any time.

  • wow the marsh with the snake is huuuge i forgot how big it was i thought it was small now its like huuuge to me

  • It seems quite big, but it's a tiny area compared to the game's world.

  • When I got their the first time I went to level 26, than I went back to the farm and healed myself/restored my mp. Than fought my way back to LVL 30! I only use "Attack" commands, and specials when you get them (i use Fury status). Obviously to conserve MP, and I only use Cure, not 2 or 3 (with all on all three characters).

I'll post my time later, dunno off hand. =D

  • READ FIRST:

Your 3rd level gaining area is utter trash, it's way to slow and long to complete. Bore anyone sane in to a mass suicide. Go across the dessert with the Snake and go in the cave. Before you see the snake killed, you go in there and to the right, and fight there. You gain a ton of AP and EXP compared to your spot. I don't think there are any advantages of your area, both can be reached right after you get out of Midgar, even before the boring story at Kalm.

  • hey guys i am at the part in the game where cloud finished the flashback with him remembering sepiroth and all of my guys are lvl 16. is that a good level for where i am at? it is practically right after you leave midgar on disc 1

  • This place isn't really all that worthy as a leveling ground. Still, it's quite decent due to simplicity.

  • good but i was 26 only with cloud the rest was 24 and 25 oh yuffi was lev 27 and thats how i got her

  • How do you activate fury?

  • Easy: use a hyper (2 if sadness is active).

  • i used fury the whole game,no regrets about it, it was fun using all those limits lol

  • I use fury a lot and for the same reason - limits. Getting the second in a group is difficult because using it 8 times is a bit out there. Fortunately, the Midgar Zolom is there to help with that....

  • So you beat the Shinra HQ and then did this?

  • Exactly. This is your second area after leaving Midgar.

  • i wasn't serious ^^ i was just teasing YaikZZZZHuannnn because of his comment...

  • o rly? i did lvl 99 with barrett and cloud in 1st mako reactor.

  • That's probably 2 months of play (15 1/4 nonstop days at best). At best, you get 80 EXP and you need about 2.64 million for level 99. It's an average of about 40 seconds per battle on the fast end so you're getting 120 EXP per minute. For 2.64 million, that's 22,000 minutes or about 15 1/4 consecutive days! While it's not impossible, it's very unlikely.

  • the most insane leveling up i've ever done on FF7 is Cloud lvl 54 and barrett lvl 48 in the first mako reactor, that took me a shitload of time! i will definatly not retry that!

  • For reasonable time as early as possible in the story, though unconfirmed as to its effectiveness, activate the alarm in Junon.

  • when u stop leveling here?i mean at which level r u when u stop leveling in this area?

  • I typically go to about 15 to 18, the point at which cloud can always one-hit these enemies.

  • ow,but in this video,u have reached lvl 30 before marsh..

  • If you thought this was extreme, how about level 99 while still on disk 1? I've never been past disk 1 without someone on level 99, and this is before the temple of the ancients event (which is why I don't morph spiral for raising vitality)....

  • where do you get so many hypers

  • I buy them from shops as soon as they become available. I often get as many as I can get, gil-permitting.

  • LOL,then i'll try that too..i just past Kalm and i got lvl 45 cloud,now i try 2 pass marsh..still try reachin for 99..hmm

  • yea FURY is one of the best I use it alot everytime I always get my Meteorain Limit Break for Cloud just on the other side of that cave

  • Your skills are pretty cool. Could you make a video about mastering materia?

  • I pretty much indirectly did that in the "fastest gil" video.

  • where did you get matra magic?

  • ey!

    one more question

how do you fill the enemy skill materia?

is it auto or do i have to do something first?

  • There's one in Junon in the area where you can learn extra details about the game beyond that of what you saw in Midgar's beginner area. To get an enemy skill, equip the "enemy skill" materia and have that character be hit by certain enemy attacks (like matra magic (which comes from an enemy called "devil ride" just outside Midgar), beta (which comes from the giant snake, the Midgar zolom), and others).

  • Oh dear... Bad form... No fury please... Fury is good for limits but bad for accuracy... I always use matra magic however. I train in the little alcove the is made by mountains and just run around in circles... I prefer fighting mandragoras as they give 224 exp (i think) however Levrikons are good (195 exp)

  • Until I get all of those pre-level 4 limits, I use fury. In fact, I prefer to keep it throughout the entire game. The game is too easy otherwise so this adds a bit to the challenge. Plus, limits are funny, especially when mimed. I never use matra magic as it's very weak. All magic in this game is quite weak. Max magic and 8000 damage is tough to get, of which is what you get with a maxed strength (plus criticals (a 5 in 6 chance) double it....

  • Matra Magic is good here s it one hit kills everything except mandragoras. Maxed strength will deal 9,999 damage almost all the time with a half decent weapon and with magic it is actually very easy to do 9,999 damage. Mp turbo is amazing when used in conjuction with flare/ultima and since ultima attacks all (even though you get it very late on) it is an excellent attack. Aqualung and beta are also very powerful magic attacks.

  • I've seen Matra Magic doing only 600 damage at best, and that's with a maxed strength and magic (and the Apocalypse sword). Slash-all with maxed strength and luck often does 9999 damage to everything. Ultima is too MP-expensive, and summons take too long (this is the primary reason why I never use summons).

  • However if you use W-Magic and Quadra magic in conjuction with comet and have another comet materia paired to mp turbo you can do 32 attacks, each dealing around 5000 damage (with maxed magic) in one turn at a cost of around 250mp... Correct me if I'm wrong but that is 160,000 damage in one turn... This is simply not possible with melee attacks...

  • ... I don't think I have W-magic, though I do have quadra magic. I couldn't get quadra magic to work though (paired with a master magic. I saw the notation for quadra magic when I went into the magic menu, different from all, MP turbo, MP absorb, and HP absorb.

  • If it doesn't work with Master magic then you may have a different version of the game however I can assure you that if you pair quadra magic with a magic materia then it will work. I never use master materia as it gives no stat bonuses...

  • Magic takes away HP so you'd need more HP pluses to counter this. It does add MP, but above 999, it's useless. I think I tried quadramagic with fire3.

  • This is true however you only need one mastered hp plus to counter this effect and there is really no need for 9,999 hp in this game anyway...

  • If I could, I'd go for 20,000+ HP. I've never seen this in the FF series (FF12 is the exception, but it still only shows 9999).

  • In FF10 you can get 99999 hp

  • why do u have the mythril saber n not the hardedge?

  • I'm not sure nor do I recall. If the weapon has an elemental nature to it, I don't bother equipping it. If it's got very few materia equip slots (3 at double growth means 6 in my case), or an excessively low accuracy, then I don't bother using it. There's more to it than this though.

  • uhm question.. how do u exactly power up premium heart?

coz ive tried the hight limit bar and the limit break bar miss... but it just resets t low damage... ive only reachd 6500 damage.... help PLSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!

  • yeh selling all gets you loads of gil man. my favourite track is the aeris song, its really emotional. ff7 is a swell game. wish they remake it someday, that would be boomtang

  • there are rumors that it might be remade on the ps3, however square havnt said anything yet

  • i played ff7 cc and at the end it shows a preview for the ps3 game so it is very likely that they will make a remake

  • hey ullillilia, whats your favourite part of the game? mine is when you escape from Junon

  • Overall, it's battling enemies (knowing my high levels). The second would be the point where I max the strength, vitality, speed, and luck out (I'll, with 98% certainty, have a video of these when I get there). The third would be the first visit to Cosmo Canyon (I just got there yesterday) with the planetarium display. Fourth is the chocobo races, of which I frequently win (and know of 3 bugs with). Fifth would be the extreme amount of gil I can get (1.3 billion is my record).

  • Such a good game.

  • so much money but nothing to spend it on. yeh actually cosmo canyon is pretty neat. you can kill the boss there with potions or elixirs.whats your favourite track from the game?

  • You haven't seen anything yet. Even what I have in my recently uploaded video (just a few minutes ago) is hardly a scratch. 2 million? Try 1.3 billion, just under 600 times as much. I recall something in the story stating of "10 billion gil in damage". Mastered materia works wonders ya know, especially all and exit. As to the best music, it's that of just before leaving Midgar (and seeing the world map for the first time) and after the chase. That's the only one that goes above 100.
