  • There's always something about when Matt belts the words "So no more are these dreams of angels washed away with the tears" that really gives me goosebumps. It's so epic while at the same time being bone chilling.

  • @VitalSigns1 this aint screamo bro... check out black veil brides or bring me the horizon

  • @VitalSigns1 even if they got another vocalist this still would not be death metal.. and this is no fucking screamo..

  • Mean ass bass tone!!

  • They continue to improve with every album, and I am quite happy he has mostly abandoned his screaming. I am not a fan of screaming metal, and while this kicks ass I like the songs on their latest two albums MUCH more.

  • Take 'Inception'

    Reverse it .

    = Awesomeness

Check my video for it .

Not spamming , just sayin , its pretty sweet Normalized or whatever .

  • they should make inception the bleeding skies the official intro to pillars of seroents

  • ahh love the guitar riffs here. Fucking powerfull death metal like :)

especially the part right after inception of the bleeding skies.

why do they always come up with such titles for their instrumental/intro songs. like this one, and the end of everything??

  • This is by far their best album, together with Ascendancy. Both were/are masterpieces. And this is one of their best songs. The Crusade was okay, and Shogun was great, but the new albums can't compete with ETI and Ascendancy. Love Trivium, and love this song!

  • edguy for the win

  • TO BE UNSEEN WITH THE EYE!!!

  • im seeing them this saturday in orlando...vip passes baby!

  • see you there :D

  • Why are you guys arguing about which album was the best? The answer is obvious. They're all the best, because Trivium is the best. Duh.

  • @koryakapelinal333 This comment is made of win.

  • @outlaw454070907 Trivium was constructed in a lab from pure, enriched win.

  • And they only get better with each release.

  • @koryakapelinal333 and a touch of asian =D

  • Pillars of Serpents is by far the best song on this album!

  • i dunno i think every song kicks fuckin ass, pretty hard to choose

  • I personally believe Ascendancy and Shogun is their best; Then Ember, and then Crusade. But all are good to listen to.

  • whatever man if they were like full screamo i would not even listen to them his voice is good get the fuck over it. every album is good.they are plain out and simply one of the best bands ive ever heard.Crusade and Shogan are the best albums they have made. Thier Scream and thier singing is awesome! Trivium Forever!!!

  • shogun for the win man.

  • if he just screamed, i would listen to them. look at the ember days, almost all he did was scream. i owuld lsiten to them anytime.

  • yea i can understand what you mean,i love his screaming but i like the melodic singin also cos for me it adds variety

  • @TheAlienskum And with something as generic and uninspired as Trivium, a little bit of variety goes a long way.

  • @Bio69 hahahaha i hate you

  • I agree with jilansososo in part,

I don't think Shogun is their worst album it's just my least fav, I miss the old Trivium with all the screaming there's too much singing in Shogun...anyways...

    Trivium=Win

  • best albums were Ember and Acendancy...hands down

  • my fav is Shogun

  • trivium has improved SOOO much its unbelievable

  • FUCK YOU!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • You Know wats freaky is that Inception The Bleeding Skiesis THE Oposite of A View Of Burning EmpiresCrazy

  • Your fucking crazy. Hammett sucks compared to Corey and Matt. Technicality wise they are both alot better.

  • are you kidding me? you've got to be joking around

  • their 1st two albums sucked all this screaming bullshit sucks crusade and shogun kick ass tho

  • Ember is good too. But I gotta agree with you.

    Crusade and Shogun kicks ass.

  • ember to inferno and ascendancy are the best albums. dicktits

  • They all have different sounds dumb ass, your name contains A7X your opinion means nothing here!

and its personal preference, I like Ember and Ascendancy more then the crusade and in many ways more than shogun because they were more brutal during those albums. there all good in there own way though.

  • lol, your opinion doesnt mean anything cuz of the a7x hate

  • ok whoever thinks shogun sucks just reply to this comment either yes or no

  • shogun is kick ass

  • Love how Pillars Of Serpents kicks in at the beginning!

  • @xfghkhjfsejid omg Iit's been two years since I made that comment?!

  • If you love a band, buy the CD. This is what these guys do for a living, and you're stealing, priiick. And besides that, Limewire has shit quality.

    This song is awesome.

  • agreed 100%

  • Limewire itself doesnt have bad quality, you have to look at the bitrate .... 320 is best..

  • Actually bit rates go much higher, thats just usually the highest you can find on limewire. Use torrents if you must download that will be the best bit rates any old user can find.

  • this song sounds lik it would be on acsendancy more that ETI

  • I dont agree. FETI is definitely their hardest album, I wish they would of stayed true to their roots because they are trying so hard to be Metallica these days.

  • ur very right ETI is just amazing an just sounds sooo raw then ascendancy just didnt get gay its just got different and sounded a little more core but its still amazing and the crusade sucked cept for lik 2 songs and shogun is still a discrace but i like it more than the crusade

  • omg your like the only other person that doesnt likr shogun. I mean compare that to this and there demo track

  • i no shoguns is really bad cept forr kirisute and he who spawned the furies

  • i honestly love all their albums, exception- The Crusade, i only like that one.

  • Wrong. Shogun is by far their best album. It's the most technical, it's their heaviest and their most melodic. The stuff before The Crusade was just typical metalcore, good but unoriginal. Yes, The Crusade sounded like Metallica in places, but that's better than sounding like every other metalcore band out there. The Crusade made them stand out, and Shogun has made them a truly original band.

  • i think u mixed up ur ass with ur mouth the crusade is not metalcore metalcore is like parkway drive carnifex all that remains as i lay dying and a lot of screaming the crusade however is metallica and trivium soo i call the genre Trashcore it has thrashy riffs and vocals but with some core vocals and core style and the crusade was the shitiest album ever its not trivium at all and shogun is just shit is not the heaviest ascendancy is deff the heaviest and ETI is BY FAR the best

  • shogun may be there most technical or whatever but seriously it sooooooo boring all the songs sound the same with little verses in the beggining a really gay chorus then a heavy riff in the middle then the solo then the verses again and the chorus and its all the same and extremely boring and i still cant get over that u thought the crusade was metalcore! shit dude u really dont know ur genres oh and the intro to pillars its prolly heavier than the entire crusade and shogun albums combined

  • I didn't call The Crusade metalcore, read my comment again. I said whatever came before The Crusade was metalcore. The chug chug intro to this tune is heavier than all of Shogun? You obviously didn't listen to He Who Spawned The Furies, or the final part of Shogun. You may have found the album boring, I didn't, and each song sounded pretty different, more different than the typical metalcore found on Ember.

  • ahah sorry bout the metalcore thing XP but yes i have listened to he who spawned the furies the part in the middle is amazing i will say and the final part of shogun is really good too sorry dude i just read it wrong

  • your both retards for fighting over something that's purely subjective

  • ahah yea this is pointless

  • your bitched for argueing

  • .... and that's how you write a song... tada

intro, verse, repeat verse, pre chorus, chorus, verse, chorus, chorus, breakdown (heavy riff), interlude, solo (widdlies), and then pick any of the others before for an ending... and that's how you make a metal song

  • ok you are right but the way they did it in shogun is just boring imo i just think that trivium can do a lotttt better,, i mean i like shogun its not thaaattt bad its just that they arnt the same trivium they used to be

  • i know they are much different.. but when is a band ever consistently the same all the time?... in my opinion it just gets boring after awhile..

  • or you could be like Metallica and do intro, alt intro, verse, alt verse, chorus, alt chorus, some other stuff, clean riff, amazing solo, other stuff, more stuff, and there you go, best band in the world writing the best songs in the world, even st. anger, dont comment back saying im dumb, because i dont care, its true

  • metallica pwns teh nooblets

  • Interbred swine.

  • lol, imaginative reply

  • I think Shogun sounds alot like Metallica. Which makes them unoriginal.

  • Shogun doesn't really have that many Metallica-esque moments, only bits and pieces of his vocal work, and even then I don't mind, because his Shogun vocals are the best yet. Also, I'd rather them sound like Metallica than every other metalcore band out there, which they did. They sound more like Opeth/Nevermore/Testament/In Flames now anyway.

  • You IDIOT.

They sound NOTHING like Metallica now!

When did Metallica sing about mythology?

Did Hetfield screa, sing smoothly and sing harsh thrashy vocals all in the same song? NO!

Did Hammet shred and sweep pick as much as Trivium do now? NO!

    So lay off.

I love 80's thrash but Trivium do NOT, nor did they ever sound like Metallica. Perhaps in "Anthem" but thats it.

  • your right.. and maybe the only time where trivium kinda did sound like metallica(and it wasnt alot) was in the Crusade.. but other than that. really never.. common metallica now doesnt even sound like the Metallica that "founded" thrash with the big 4..

  • hammett blows trivium's guitarists away, man.

and Ember and Ascendancy are their best albums. peropid

  • limewire is for fags

  • nope

  • limewire totaly is for fags. come on guys atleast have enough respect for this kickass band 2 go and buy their aktuall cd's

  • I love how Matt gradually screams these lines more and more with each line, such passion!! "Give a spark to light the world

    Up in flames reignite

    A changing to better times

    End this now"

  • this song rules

    after all, its my username

  • i agree with Imsuperhim as far as the guitar work is fantastic, but i dissagree with your take on the vocals, i love the screaming in this, and the singing is just as good. Pillars of Serpants is one of my favourate songs - 10/10

  • I like how this track ends so suddenly.

  • fag

  • wat the hell are you gay?

  • Also, Ive read that Matt has confirmed that the screaming will return in the new album so how can it possibly not kick fuckin ass! Fuck I cant wait that long, I need new Trivium like a crack fix...

  • Its like you buy this CD, pop it in your player, and within the first minute your like "this album is gonna fuckin own"

  • lol u still buy the cds nice XD limewire ftw

  • pillars of serpents is the shit! damn its so awsome. there new album better be this good.

  • trivium is awesome and always will be, this is probably their best album cuz its fuckin raw, but their new one is gonna kick ass

  • pillars of serpents owns

  • Try playing Pillars of Serpents and Inception, The Bleeding Skies in reverse together. It actually sounds quite scary listening to Heafy screaming those lyrics backwards.

  • I'd say the first two songs on Ember to Inferno are the Best

  • awesome

  • Such a brilliant song, and yet only two others have commented on this video? Shame...

  • A brilliant beginning to Ember to Inferno, I have to say. I hope to get hold of that album soon. Though you could have added a video to this track, it was brilliant for somebody like you to post both the instrumental and the track that followed it. Heafy's unique screaming here really is a good example of how rock has evolved over these years.
