  • This is Rusty Schramm and Honeybrowne, this sounds NOTHING like REK!!

  • This is written by a guy named Rusty Schramm who played music at Texas Tech while in school. He didnt get the same type of status as Morrow or Green but he was a little before his time. Wish he'd come back.

  • FUCK MORNING CLASSES

  • This is Honeybrowne

  • Not REK..... Still. Have some respect for yourself and change the title.

  • dude... comeon... putting REK's name on something so you can get hits for this aint cool.

  • @TheCrackdog12

Actually, I was under the impression that it was REK. Perhaps you could tell us who it really is and stop accusing me of being a hit whore?

  • @TheCrackdog12 well change it the name, ya piece of shit. its been 3 weeks. great song though

  • @rolando4812

Actually it's been 3 years dipshit. And until somebody gives me a definate answer to who does this song, it stays the same.

  • @spencerbrown2007 Its REK's son. Django Walker.

  • @aaronnelsonpkp Sorry, Django wrote it, this is Fred but both guys spent enough time in San Marcos that they deserve to sing it.

  • @twostroke0z Amazon has it, it's sung by Fred Andrews and his group "Honeybrowne". They really rock!

  • sub for wrong name

  • this is kurt south

  • Updated the artists

  • Don't blame yourself. Mistakes happen but rest assured.. this is NOT REK my friend.

  • I'm not blaming myself, and I realize that it's not Robert Earl.

    Thanks for watching!

  • @BlueShirtDiaries no, it's certainly not

  • Furthermore, it's an awesome song! Why don't we know with certainty whose song this is?

    Nice video, by the way.

  • dude, it is honeybrowne. Fred sang this version of the song which was on the re-release of the album "real". The guy below, 'sethharrison1' is the songwriter. Rusty's version of the song is much longer and starts off with him ranting about a bunch of colleges he never quite graduated from. No one else has recorded this song. So, now you know 'with CERTAINTY' who is doing the song. Right! Glad we got that fixed!

  • Why is this so often credited to REK? It doesn't even sound like him.

  • sounds like Cross Canadian Ragweed to me...

  • obviously we all know that this is not REK, i'm almost positive that this is actually a guy named Rusty Shramm. not completely positive though.

  • Not REK...

  • NOT REK.....

  • ha ha, I was actually looking for one of the clips of Todd Snider and this was one of the choices. Hey I like it.

  • you dont even know who this is givin you a hard time; now, do you! here is a hint...my hair is not quite as good as freds. chew on that for a while.

  • You know he's talking about Texas State when he said, "this campus is all up hill."

  • The guy who wrote this song is awesome!

  • You are so busted searching for yourself on the net...! What was it you said, SWT is still the one place you can get a pizza and a bag of weed delivered at 3 a.m.

  • this is Honeybrowne, or at least Fred Andrews. They were called HCA back when they were in college back at Southwest Texas State (Now Texas State) in San Marcos. When he says "at the parrot' thats a bar on the square in San Marcos

  • Waylon and Willie (and the boys) are definitely behind this song.... mark it.

  • I'm on it

  • thank you for removing Dfwdan form the comments, he is retarted.

  • Kevin fowler is in the song? What does he do?

  • Who is your daddy and what does he do?

  • the piano part made me lol

  • Comment removed

  • It's not. You're thinking of Django Walker's song "College Life". Honeybrowne recorded this on their "Real" CD. Granted this is not REK. On a side note, please learn to spell his name right if you're going to have that "I know all" attitude - it's Django not Djengo.

  • No dumb ass, Djengo sings college life... "college daze is a honeybrown song" ,,, this is a remake of honeybrown.

  • yeah jooptes right this is honeybrowne

  • this is absolutely honeybrowne. 100% positive

  • Honeybrowne is the only band that i know of that recorded this song on their cd called Real. But i dont know if they wrote it or who else does it

  • the great divien

  • if you meant the great divide with mike mcclure, its not. Almost like Django Walkers college life but I know its not him.

  • its a red dirt band the stoped playing a couple of years ago. they still have a web site i think, and robert earl never put it on cd, but i think he played it in concert.

  • I would really like to know who sings this so that i can find the chords so i can play it on th guitar if any one has the chords or tab ide apricate the help

  • like everybody else...this is NOT rek. been listening to him since 1st grade--nearly ten years now--and am a big fan. i would say this is closer to kevin fowler's voice than anybody else i can think of, but i'm not sure.

  • haha definately not REK- just wanted to say it like everyone else lol...but a fun song anyways..

  • Its honeybrowne. I arranged it myself.

  • haha if you think this is robert earl keen or boland....you must be high...this is an awesome song....but i've seen rek since i was a kid, and i've seen boland MANY times...i've never heard this voice before

  • Not REK, My vote is that its Kevin Fowler...

  • Not Robert Earl Keen thank god nobody else thinks it is either.

  • doesnt even sound like REK...

  • Its Honeybrowne. Robert earl had nothing to do with this song.

  • I think this is Red Dirt Rangers.

  • This isn't Robert earl or boland. i've never heard it before, pretty good song though...

  • Robert Earl Keen has been a favorite of mine for years, I'm pretty sure this is Jason Boland, check him out, I think you'll agree. If not, it wouldn't be the first time I was wrong, ask my wife...they're both great..

  • Well, I dont know about the video, but the person singing sure is Robert Earl. This actually was my college days song. Didnt learn much

  • not robert earl keen.

  • definitely not REK
