@ZDrDrebbleZ Not to nitpick, but FFLP doesn't change the volume, rather, it creates a low-pass filter that cuts off everything above a certain frequency. Pure volume would be one of the knobs directly next to the patch/plugin or the mixer fader. Anyway, the effect you're looking for can be done in 2 ways--"Channel Pitch" or "Note Pitch", both of which can be found in the drop-down box at the top of the piano roll. You change them just like how you would change velocity.

I actually used this video to put a drum roll in one of my songs and it came out amazingly. thanks. and, so I got a midi cable for my piano, but for some reason, everytime I hook it up to my computer and try to use it on FL studios... it doesn't work at all. is there a certain setting it has to be on in order for it to work?

Im not sure if this is exactly the way but go:

Options -> Midi Settings

Check if your midi controller is 'seen' by FL and select it if needed. If it's not there, you should look for drivers for your midi-device.
