JM: You mean, fusees. My dad used to bring them home for us to fool around with on the 4th of July. As I recall, back in the 1960s they used to make them in different colors too. They used to make them in different lengths to burn different lenghts of time. We used to experiment with railroad torpedos too. They make a heck of a bang.

IDK. sometime they do and sometime they don't. I understand that if you use it at night but not for the daylight hour. :P

its railroad rules. any unprotected crossing like that or anytime the gates arnt working they have to stop the train, light the flairs and wave the train through. but most of the time they just throw them like this guy did or just not even do it at all. oh and railroaders call them fusee's idk why but thats just rairoad lingo

which one? the second one on the ground? that was an old SP/PE main line and now only use for the UP locals.
