if you ask billiard players who would they like to be , they always say it's Efren reyes....simply because his "the magician" , humble and funny!

Efren won because he is simply a better all-around billiards player than Earl. Strickland is the only guy to play with Reyes when he is on top of his game in 9-ball. Every other billiards game (one pocket, straight pool, 3 cushion, etc.) Reyes would mop the floor with anyone!

I am sorry, that is not accurate.

Nick Varner traveled to play Efren in the Philipines in 1989 9-ball and beat him until he quit over a series of days and several sets.

Efren is generally considered the most creative player, and the the best 1-pocket player the game has ever seen.
