  • I LOVE IT! WHAT DID YOU USE FOR THE JELLY FISH???

  • @MIAMIQUEENJ

Thank you! The jellyfish are made out of gumpaste. Make sure you make them at least a day before so they can get hard, otherwise the tentacles wont stay put.

  • i absolutely love this cake

  • Your cake is very cute. How did you do the figures for patric and spongebob? I want to do a cake for my son, but I am not sure how to do the figuring off them two.

  • @mytm24 Hi. I actually bought these. They are called Marshmallow SpongeBob Lollipops I think. I got mine from Amazon in a pack of 24, I just gave the rest away as party favors and used the Patrick and Spongebob on the cake.

  • did u just stack the cake or uise dowels

  • Too cute! Great job! I bet everyone went crazy over it.

  • well i chilled the cake after i iced it for about an hour before i put fondant on it oh and i had refridged the icing a night before cause the container said to refridge after opening and then microwaved it to make it smooth again...lol i think those factors might have done it huh? lol

  • The type of icing you use can effect it. I only use buttercream which is super easy to make and tastes way better (in my opinion). I add a crumb coat of icing then I let it chill for at least 30 minutes then I add another layer and let it chill for another half an hour. Then I put the fondant on. I dont refrigerate after the fondant is on if its the next day. Hope these tips help

  • p.s if you microwaved your frosting and it was still warm when you put the fondant on it, it would cause it to stay moist and sticky. You should let your icing chill a little.

  • wow good job i like it...my first one came out kind of moist i don't know why and by the next day after the party it literally melted..lol! i don't know what i did wrong....maybe cause i had it covered?i dunno

  • did you refrigerated it? cuz it causes alot of moisture and destroys the cake and even if you didnt put it in the fridge a humid day is a cake ruiner
