this was my fourth time at coachella festival and i was at this performance. after this year i dont believe ill ever go back due to my disgust with the sound crew. The band was on point, as was she but not being able to hear herself she's over straint her voice within 5 minutes. mega artists as these performing on the MAIN STAGE of all shouldnt be put through this. nor should i having spent that much money (foolishly) to see this. i should have spent it to see her own concert.

@Chrishalomusic i totally agree about the sound.....you can see her repeatedly ask them to turn up her mic and the key was far too low even for her soulful voice. What an amazing soul to just keep singing, a diva would jhave complained and walked off....thats called real dedication :) x peace x

Take into consideration, however, that he did headline that year so im sure he was given ample time to soundcheck and setup. Have you ever soundchecked a 10+ peice group with horns and background singers in 20 minutes?

Anyone that can call that amazing, I don't know about your judgement. Her live shows are not what we've come to expect from her great studio albums, but I've seen shows of hers that were A LOT worse. I wish I could trade the train wreck show I saw in 2010 at the Harmony fest, for this one, which sounded real good in comparison. I think lots of people deserve title of queen before her; for my money I'll choose Badu . . .

Lauryn has been on tour for months, and probably was nervous about such a big festival so she over rehearsed. Her voice was raspy and tired at this performance, and I have heard her perform much better this year, But considering she is a mum of 5, pregnant to her 6th child and been touring since october last year I forgive her. He energy is amazing, and the arrangements are fresh!
