I have read that quote and that is what it says verbatim. This quote was not talking about Babylonia. Herodetus was talking about some blacks that lived in Colchis along the black sea in what is now called Georgia. He wasn't sure of where they came from so he suggested that they came from Egypt, and then He suggested Ethiopia. Just look up on the web Herodetus quote about Colchis and Black Egyptians

This is a VERY disappointing and wildly superficial telling of this creation myth. It even leaves out the part of Isis impaling herself on Osiris' reconstructed phallus and (although Osiris was dead) she begets Horus (who eventually killed his uncle Set in revenge for his fathers murder). Horus looses an eye in this battle and you can find it on the back of a $1 bill! The All-Seeing Eye of Horus Its well worth looking up the WHOLE story. It may be the origin of the Cain/Able story.

Not to generalize but I feel like caucasian americans tend to think ethnicity is more simple then it actually is. Many african americans including myself have a white grandparent or great grandparent. My mother looks like a white woman or slightly mixed at most and my grandmother has blue eyes and blonde hair. Does that not make me black? Labeling is what distinguishes race along with self identification. Technically based on a DNA tracking test im only 59% African Ancestry.

The founders of the dynastic period were Nilo-Saharan Africans and would be considered "black" the way the term is understood today. They were never 'startled' to find "Black Africans". I doubt if the Greeks could have identified the blacks as the term is understood today. For Greeks, any people who had darker shades would had been referred to as blacks, so this remains controversal. The statement 'startled to find black african' is from the interpretation on the wall of pyramids. Of course you'd say white scholars deliberately misinterpreted it. There is no clear evidence of who founded Egypt, but many evi suggests that Egypt and upper Nile states were separate in peoplewise.

They most certainly did not consider themselves the same as the Nubians, just look at ancient Egyptian art. The term "black" or "black african" is unfound by any type of science, so you cant say that Egyptians were "black". The funny thing is that you cant label any African as "black". Paranoia. My Dad was Jewish, and my Mom was Christian. But I'm not guilty of what you're saying here. I've been to Egypt, and many black Nubians live there, as they did in ancient times. There were also ancient Egyptians who looked white, but with the black hair and dark eyes that you see today in people who live around the Mediterranean. What's wrong with that? There have to have been no white people there for it to be acceptable to you?

What people fail to realize is that Egyptians were especially fond of symbolism and creative depictions of everything around them and about them (Prime example: none of them actually believed their deities were animals, nor did they think of them having any parts of the animal used to symbolize them. Jeebus, anyone who has questions about St (Seth or Setukh are also a couple of his names), go look it up, it's what the Internet's for -.-'... As for them being depicted with supposedly light-colored flesh: they believed themselves to be children of the desert, and so painted their people to have sand-colored skin (plus, all of their neighboring countries are black, what's to say they weren't? If not black, they were certainly darker than the Arabs or Persians of the time ^_^')

Osiris Brother was Seth and he was jeaouls of him and how beloved he was by Isis so he tricked him into sleeping in one coffin to see if he would fit in and then killed him and dismantled him to 42 organs hence they had 42 cities(upper and lower Egypt) and then ISIS asked Horus to fly over Egypt and gather the organs so she can resurrect him again.
