i was here for this show and glowstick war. people were collecting them around me and piling them on a blanket and pulling all 4 corners quickly....looked like fireworks going off!! one of the best weekends of my life!! anyone remember the geltabs???? they were EVERYWHERE---much like the overflowing port-a-potties EVERYWHERE!! someone PLEASE bring me back in a time machine and drop me off at the Great Went every weekend for the rest of my life

such a great hood, a great weekend , and a great tour. i was lucky enough to see all 19 shows of the summer tour in 97 ,what a fun summer, i truly love this band , 5 guys in a vw vanagon that stunk by this time something horrible and it was all worth it

I remember this show and the glow stick war. It was really fantastic because it was spontaneous and the band seemed to play along with the crowd's 'war'. A real connection between band and audience. An amazing rock and roll moment...even though Phish never got much credit for their music and influence.

it was "great" ...when the glowstick war really started to get big, all the people in the back of the crowd kept throwing all the glowsticks they could find up to the front. i've been to about 30 shows since "the went" and still haven't seen a better glowstck war. i cant wait for alpine valley!!!

I have 2 for each night. I put my name in the phish website lottery and got two for each night....I still can't believe it. Everyone I know thinks I am a fool for not selling at least one of the shows.....the money they are going for is crazy......but I am not! I will be there for all three.....damn I can't wait

Yes there was....I was there for all three nights and sunday was the easiers day to get past security. The first two days were very hard and took forever....some people missed the opener because of it. Not me, but some people.

I read somewhere that it was 1 in 50,000 to get tickets to just one show.....and I got tickets for all three. I luckier than a dog with two dicks...lol!!

This was my first show ever and I still think it was the crowning moment... during this Hood we were in the front row looking back- as soon as trey said "chris can we kill the lights and just look at the moon and the sculpture" glowsticks everywhere as far as you could see in all directions- god i miss these days...

Traffic was backed up to New Hampshire for this show. I remember the feeling of sheer joy as we rolled through the front gate, knowing you were going to be a part of something huge that you would remember for your entire life. Me and my friends staked out a front spot near the barriers for almost a day and smoked everyone out around us until they literally couldn't smoke anymore, then ran like little kids at an amusement park when the staff opened the gates. It was a living dream for 70k people.
