I used the simple way, the Scared Flame, Holds him in place & after while boom hes re dead (wierd how you can kill a dead thing).

I got this game & I can't remember the way to him, I know it was a simple pattern too. left left left down right left right right or something like that. its been a long time since I played it

People say that "This" version of Dracula sucks mainly because hes a skeleton & throws sycles.

That maybe the case but remember they put alot of effort into the main body of the game, theres only so much you can squeeze into one of thes game packs..

if you mean simon's quest... that's not genereally considered a good game. It did really innovative things but meh.... If you want to experience the first game, just play castlevania 4. All you get out of the story of part two is what's told to you in the beginning plus he kills dracula(after resurrecting him)

James Rolfe likes this game even if "it does have a few annoying things about it", in his own words. The original AVGN movie was just an experiment to see how much he could exaggerate its flaws to make it seem crappy.

Castlevania 1 and 3 are far better, though, and I think he really believes that.

I love this version of bloody tears it's so friggin awesome! Simons quest is one of the most criminaly underated games in videogame history.

watch the angry nintendo nerds opinion on the game. I got to agree with him the game being anticlimatic. You just waltz into the ruins of draculas castle.. burn his body parts and then fight death although he's called dracula? And yes. that is Death as the last boss. He even throws the sythes around.

Well it makes sense you'd fight Death since the whole game is about what happens after you kill Dracula. You burn his body parts so he doesn't come back. His castle is in ruins and undefended.

If the game was better translated it would have been a classic. It's still a great game if you have an idea of what stuff does. It's the forerunner to all these new RPG castlevanias, but it never gets credit for it.

Oh well. He had a few good points like Dracula looking more like a reaper than a vampire, but overall he made up many false points to down play the game. He doesn't do it anymore at least. Just sad this game went from little known to trashed because one guy didn't like it.

Yeah, most were scene for games like that of the time. Another one I found generally annoying was the day/night transitions but I played and ended up beating it. Not the best in the series playing through but it was worth going through and playing to the end.

Agreed. That is the only part he is right about. The day to night part blows, but if you are great at Castlevania and can tell truth from lies of the people you would see that box like 4 times. Also what ending did you get? There is one where Simon dies if you take too long to kill Drac and one where he lives. Same ending screen just slightly different dialog.
