His/her romanization is actually more correct as you'd be missing out a character. Although the sound is obviously closer to 'tsu' both are just romanization systems. Roman charcters can't full express Japanese sounds so to me, the only CORRECT spellings are ones such as 涼宮ハルヒの憂鬱 and すずみやハルヒのゆううつ.
