There is a lot of Vai/Satriani in this artist, and I mean a lot. It's like listening to Vai if he was a worse guitar player. Not that this dude is bad though, he's just not as good as Vai is.

@StrawberryJungle that's true he can use those notes in an infinite number of different ways BUT the phrasing, the tempo, the harmonies, the general feel if the section is literally copy and pasted over. His guitar tone is even set up the same way, it sounds like he's doing a fucking cover. You have a right to disagree, I'll agree that it could have been an accident but do me one favor ok?

I'm listening and I'm trying to figure out where you're talking about. Yeah, they're the same key in most parts. I couldn't find any similar licks. They both prefer relatively similar modes and hand positions but the two songs seem very different. Could you point out some times in each video?

But I will say I think the two tones are quite different. Same amount of distortion but Schackinger is way brighter and more chimey. Sebastien has a way mellower tone comparatively.
