It was actually composed in 2007 by Tuomas, it was originally called 'Reach' and was developed into 'Amaranth'. Anette was brought into the band and she sung 'Amaranth'. 'Reach' was originally meant to be sung by Marco Hietala.

Being an avid nightwish fan, i decided to listen to this. So i guess i can commetn, being a NW fan. The chorus sounds wierd, and the tune is not the keyboard notes, it is the symphonic tune, which sounds off when you listen to it without the keyboard. Originally, it is a good song... i've heard better songs than this.
