Illusions was the absolute best and certainly most insanely agressive thrash metal record of the 80s - no other band could play so fast and agressive at the time for a whole record - some came close (Grim Reality, Shark Attack, RIB, Pleasure To Kill, Darkness Descents) but do not equal it for longer than a few songs. The vinyl version sounds even more explosive.
