  • I have installed gnome-shell over ubuntu 11.10. But panels are not visible. Just plain wallpaper.

  • Hi, I installed Ubuntu Server 10.10 x64 on Virtualbox to test it out. However, after the installation and it asked me to remove the disc and continue to reboot, when the the server restarted I am on the CLI with the yellow shell.

    It looks like this:

    Shell>

    Does anyone know what's the problem with my installation?

  • i tried out gnome-shell for about 2 weeks and didn't like it as much as the standard gnome interface.

  • 5 stars mate, I am using this on my linux mint partition and I like it alot! I got alot of error messages from the terminal output but it has been running smoothly so far, thanks again! Happy New Year btw =)
