  • where's the race?

  • probably the gayest thing ive seen. wow lets race one gear like half way to redline. i"d smoke that r6 off the line with my old x1.

  • Yeah rev it up d-bag, you just got killed.

  • @onelogue lol umm.. I don't think they were racing ? not sure if you're familiar with buells ? they rev mostly at 6,500rpm and the r6 usually they rev up to 15,000rpm? I didn't even see the buell shift to second gear ? all in all the R6 is a fast bike but buells are more fun to ride !!

  • @QuietStormSiR Than why does the title say "Buell vs. R6" ??? Pretty sure that means Race!

I love Buells! In fact I have a custom Firebolt that I plan on never selling.

This guy cant ride his bike and from the video it looked like the only time he's comfortable reving is in Neutral.

  • Laser jammer on the Yamaha?

  • WTF was that?

  • Versus? Versus how? You didn't even hit the track... I just see a couple guys riding a straight line...

  • I'm just a sucker for the v-twin.

  • LMAO your right ive only had 3 of them and worked for harley for a short time.. and well hell since you own a "1225r" you must know everything about buell's .. i think my point was more than proven by your reply..

  • No such thing as a buell 1000. It's either a 500 (B-last) or a XB 984 or 1203 for the air cooled bikes.

  • buell shit

  • I'll race you.... oh wait a minute do you mean right NOW??? lol

  • buell dont make a 1000 dumbass...

  • @death1799

    Retard, yes they do. Dumbass.

  • @parkourviewer not in this video dumb fuck..

  • Comment removed

  • @death1799

And god damn I clicked on your name and your front video is justin beiber you flaming faggot.

  • @death1799 It's a 983cc / 1203cc for the XB platform; 1125cc for the Rotax. All pretty darn close the a liter, regardless. Not many brands actually have 1000cc capacity ... but they're pretty close so they round up/down. No need to split hairs.

  • @jhlarrimore then it should say buell 1200 or a buell 1125r in the header not buell 1000... yea i too know a bit about these bikes..

  • @death1799 clearly you dont.. check the headlights out, its a lightning so its a xb12S with 1203cc, the 1125r have dual front intakes and not the bug eye headlights

  • @hydro978 and your clearly an idiot.. case closed

  • @death1799 "then it should say buell 1200 or a buell 1125r in the header not buell 1000... yea i too know a bit about these bikes.. "

its not a 1225r, not even close, so clearly your a stupid fuck, the headlights r the biggest give away dumbass.. I own a firebolt and a 1225r, so i clearly know more of what I'm talking about.. you shudnt even talk bout motorcycles wen u hav a lady gaga video on ur profile, faggot, u prob kno more bout sucking off dudes then u do bout morotcycles. eat shit

  • @hydro978 There's no such thing as a 1225r *facepalm*

But the Buell in the video is a lighting. Which can have a 1203cc engine or a 984cc.

  • @TreaHuggs I said it was a lightning several posts ago, go down and see.. And there is a such thing as a 1225r, first came out around 2008 *cockslap*

Look it up, 2008 Buell 1225r, new body style.. OOOHHHH

  • @hydro978 You are straight fucking high.

  • @hydro978 no such thing from the buell factory known as '1225r' only 1125r. theres the 1125cr, xb12r, xb9r, xb12s, and so on.

  • @hydro978 yeah the new body style is a 1125 R.

  • Comment removed

  • Am I the only one who noticed the Buell 1000 part? It's either a 900 or a 1200. the 1125R doesn't come in this package. :P

  • Buells are fun for about twenty minutes. They suck, very innovative, too innovative for too small of a company. The pairing with HD probably doomed them since day one also. Best thing they ever did was go rotax

  • @EyeH8WNY I think I wise man once said that putting a harley motor into the innovative Buell designs is like trying to make a milkshake with premium milk and old dog shit- it wont work nomatter how hard you blend it.

  • I didn't see them race one time(

  • Ihr Opfer! Von wegen vs.

  • sound vs

  • ok, make sens...

  • the buell is just ...earthquake

    god i love it

  • Schwachsinn.

  • i've got an XB9R and that thing is all about handling. It's my first bike and has plenty of power for me, plus the torque is amazing. i just didn't think i needed something with a top speed like way in the 100s i like my bike for riding around, but when you want to go distance that v-twin will kill you. i plan on getting a ricer for a track bike though or for distance riding haven't really decided

  • Buell = Wheelie machine !!!

  • @ieatchiknees Whats wrong with riding distance on a buell

  • @TrillTalk89 not gonna lie, i'm a pretty small guy and any bike I ride is pretty uncomfortable.

When I wrote that though I still wasn't used to how you have to sit on a sport bike. I rode around on the Blast and some Harleys before I picked the buell up, so a sport bike was real different for me. It hurt my back for a while until i learned to support my weight on my arms more.

nothing against the bike though, all user error

  • @ieatchiknees Twins work fine for touring, look at all the harley, victory, yamaha, kawi etc. bikes that are for touring and powered by twins. My Ulysses does fine at touring... the thing that kills me about long distance on a Buell is my back. Long distance comfort means sitting up straight (for me).

  • Ya that was ALMOST a race, DICKHOLES!

  • rowdyjoe11 voted for obama.

  • You're a fag!!

  • ive owned a gsxr 600 and i just got a buell xb12r top end on the suzuki is faster but the power comes on a lot quicker on the buell not to mention the torque is awesome=)

buell is a blast to ride around town

  • Buell and R6 are two diff bikes... Buell is all pleasure, easy ride with power... R6 100% aggresive, 100% sport. I used to ride a GSXR and moved to a XB9S . I really enjoy it, super easy ride, you feel like you have BMX with engine.... perfect for cities.

    Peace riders : )

  • I totally feel ya on that one. I started on a kawasaki 175 enduro, then started riding a cruiser 750 yamaha maxim, then made a mistake on getting a yamaha 600 seca II, then a honda rebel for the wife, finally to a 1300 Busa'. I got rid of all them. Busa was too heavy and no fun to ride. Just fast, that's all. Can't see a bike passing you a 150 mph right? I now want a Buell Firebolt, white one at that. I just love the way it looks.

  • dont doubt buell, i beg to differ about my 1125r......

  • that wasnt even a race. they weren't racing. the buell wasnt even trying. even a 984 cc buell will out accel. a r6 till 80 mph. easily

  • your correct! my stock 08 xb9 was easily out accelerating my brothers stock 07 rg till bout 80 or so! somthing about a 7500 rpm rev limit compared to the r6 15k+ rev.

  • that's odd.. why does your bike have a higher limit than my 12r at 7100?

  • because the 12 has a longer stroke than the 9

a 600cc 4-in-line jap bike has a super short stroke, that's why it can rev so high without killing the engine

  • yeah the r6 didnt even leave first gear and raped the buell. soo yeah. and if you say "jap bikes" wont take turns.. dear god are you full of shit or what? thats what theyre made for. obviously you havent rode a true crotch rocket. and why arent the buell's in motogp then ?

  • I think your ears are deceiving you, all I hear is the buell reving it's engine. Now I'm sure if the buell was trying to keep up you'd hear a steady acceleration.

  • yeah youd hear it. but you wouldnt see it till an hour later. and the r6 would be gone by then

  • The R6 has no chance against the Buell until about 80KM/h.

The Buell has more torque. After that the Buell can't keep up. You can have lots of fun with the Buell at traffic lights. =)

  • @pjdaprinz Obviously this wasn't a race, just a versus off the sounds, my bad for the description. But speaking of torque, the Buell never had a chance against my R6. We've raced eachother a hundred times and he never won.

    Cheers!

  • @martijntjuh86 Maybe in a twisty mountain road would be another story..

If both drivers are good, maybe the manageability, flexibility and torque at low engine Buell could be competitive. Or not?

  • @nicodanger13 You are right about that. Although the R6 is great on corners, the buell takes advantage from its low point of gravity..However, I'm pretty sure I would still kick his ass! ;) haha

  • @martijntjuh86 your friend on the buell must not be all that good, my friend has a 07 xb9r and takes the cake in drag races against his buddies 07 GSXR 750- 132 TRUE rwhp (full yosh exhaust tuned on a 4gas dyno/ec997) upto 100mph (hes been riding his bike aggressively for years) and his buell's got 50k MILES on it. also (of course) annihilates him in top gear roll-on 60-80mph.

  • @Ryknfjor I always thought the old "top gear roll on" just showed that one bike needs an overdrive and the other bike already has one. : ) I realize that my Buell isn't the fastest bike in the world... but it is the one that I have the most fun on!

  • Then again, they don't make a buell 1000 they make a 900 a 1200 and a 1125R. This one is more than likely the 900. As the 1200 is pretty quick.

  • either way. the thing is, none of them could keep up with a 600 supersport. buells arent inline 4 cylinder bikes. most are twins. thats why they cant hold up to ss

  • Now keep in mind I never said the R6 was slow. I'm just saying, I see a lot of "vs" videos on youtube and no actual "vs" as for buells. I agree they're not as fast as some crouch rockets, but truth is they weren't really built to be. They were built with turns and out of the hole acceleration. Which is why they top out at 160ish. Then again, 100+ hp from a V-twin isn't bad. Considering my POS Ford pickup using a I4 only has 117hp.

  • very very true and good point. buells arent race machines. theyre made for fast cruising and turning more than anything. which crotch rockets are too, but you really gotta lay them over and be comfortable or youre dead haha

  • I think it comes as a matter of taste. You have to have a taste for the Buell, you've got your crouch rocket riders, your hog riders, etc.

The whole point behind the Buell is in the history of Harley. To put it simple, the Buell is Italian designed but it uses a extremely simple to work on motor. I love the sound and feel of a Buell, you can bore the engine and get more than the 100hp that it comes with. Then you'd have to worry about flipping, it already brings the wheels up really easly.

  • very true. im a crotch rocket guy all the way. love my ninja zx6r with a passion. everybody has their own preference, and why not, youre the ones spending the cash

  • Exactly, why buy it if you're not going to be happy with it?

  • couldnt agree more.

  • finally a conversation that didn't end in swearing each other out haha. I agree with both of you, its all the taste of the rider. plus, if you're on two wheels thats all that matters. anyone one who lives on 4 wheels just doesnt understand.

  • Pasta designed- are you kidding, you know shit when it comes to Buell history and the flipping stuff HA HA really- please

  • magnuspire, the buell xb9 is 984cc so basically 1000. also they aren't italian designed they're designed by an american erik buell

  • the early to late 90's the buells had harley engines that the bought from h.d. the current engines are made by buell with a hd design.

  • Actually they are Buell designs. Only the basic case and configuration remain from the old Sportster motor. The internals are Buell exclusive.

  • I jut bought the 1125R this past summer. I'll admit that it didn't have the top end I wanted when I bought it, but after my buddy fabricated me a new rear end and we put a smaller belt on it, I can keep up with most of the jap bikes easily now. I still take off and top out faster, not to mention the fact that NONE of their bikes have kept up throug any turns. Jap bikes have speed, but racing in done more on tracks, not strips. Buell built this thing to take out the jap bikes and thats what I do.

  • I've ridden lots of bikes, of al kinds and the Buell really stands out. I have a 2004 XB12S, it is a blast to drive and it is quite reliable. It let me down once with a faulty throttle positioning sensor. It has about 14000km / 8750miles now.

  • I own a Buell XB12S, I raced different jap motorcycles such as R6, ZX9R, CBR900rr and none was faster from 0-100km/u than my Buell. A Buell XB12S has as much torque as a Yamaha R1, only difference is that the Buell delivers al the torque in low rev range so you are always faster in a dragrace than a japanese bike

  • man Buell's are ugly as fuck!

  • That is your oppinion, and guess what, no one cares!

  • why you don't see any Buells around??

    cuz they're Fugly!

  • that just means you have absolutely NO taste

and besides, I'd like to keep it that way, makes my bike more unique!

If I park my Buell in a lane of japanese bikes and people walk by, some people approach the bikes and guess which one they take a closer look at? Exactly the Buell

    PERIOD

  • you're right, it's kinda like the ugly duckling factor.

They're pry sayin to themselves what the fuck is that??

  • dude i agree. buells are the ugliest fucking bikes ever. for fags and pussies.

thats why i got my 08 ninja zx6r.

keeps fags and away and gets the pussy

  • that just means you have absolutely NO taste

  • please, i'm not going to deny that they are good performing bikes.

but as far as looks go you aren't going to win any beauty contest on a Buell

  • I think the Buell in the vid is not that good looking, but you should see some others, might change your opinion and if not well then we just have other tastes which is good cuz otherwise we'd all be riding Buells and I would not appreciate that ;)

  • I agree the world def needs different tastes! however i had to take a motorcycle safety course at a harley dealership and had to ride a Buell as well as look at all of them, and my personal opinion is I would never want one

  • I currently own a 01 GSXR 600 but im selling it to buy an 03 Buell XB9R. Not everything is about top speed. The buell is about 12 mph slower in top end but I herd much funner to ride.

  • Believe me, you'll love your Buell its so much more fun than anything else! Good choice!

  • Thanks for the info, Im assuming it will be fun. also i like to stand out and where i live, i have only seen ONE and it never gets ridden. What kind do you have, I only talked to one other person with one and he said it was very reliable and a blast to drive. How is yours holding up as far as matinence, i have herd they can have a few problems.

  • So if Buells have nothing on Japanese sportbikes, it was just a fluke when Steve Crevier rode a near stock Buell 1125R against full on Japanese race bikes that weighed 50lbs less and had 50 more horsepower than the 1125r and Crevier still placed third at Calbogie in the Canadian Superbike series? The Buell may not go faster in a straight line, but it is a leader in the twisties.

  • Man Buells have absolutely nothing on Japanese sportbikes. And plus Buells sound crappy-almost identical to a Harley. Not surprising since they're made by Harley I guess. Compare the Buell sound to a Ducati or Honda RC51 and you will see what I mean.

  • im lost....where is the race?

  • jullie komen daar wel vaker he?

Ik heb je al een aantal keer daar gezien op je buell:p:)

    mooie motor!
