Keep in mind, those "cheap" amounts were on the Wheel to keep contestants from exceeding CBS's winnings limit, something they didn't have to deal with at NBC. If you could put the amounts on he Wheel aside, he show wasn't all that bad. Bob Goen did a great job hosting this. In fact, when Pat retires (which will hopefully not be anytime soon), Sony should consider calling Bob and asking him if he'd be interested in returning.
its showld have said: "it's now on cbs!!! its cheaper that ever!!! @ a new time. on a new channel!! with lots of" (white)" small prizes!!" (goen) "less cash!!" with the lovely vanna white, and host bob goen on Wheel Of Fortune!!!"
my guess is that it's comparing itself to the first few months into the cbs run when it said "more cash". but yea, you can't help but to laugh at that statement when every other space is $100 from the 3rd round on.
Yeah, they were comparing to the NBC daytime version. But the last NBC episode had a $60,000+ budget for the prizes; the early Goen Wheel's budget were a little over $40,000. So that comparison doesn't add up, either.
I think that claim was made in comparison to the NBC Daytime version of Wheel of Fortune, which preceded this version. The syndicated version always had a bigger budget.

I think something more true would be, "Big Cash, more prizes".

And obviously both versions had to share the Bob Barker studio with TPIR.

"Big Prizes!"
"More Cash!"
Two of the prizes in the Bonus Round on this version were "$5000" and and a Geo. Since when was $5000 more than $25000?????
