Out of all the routes, my favorite has to be Unlimited Blade Works. All the heroes played much more of a role than in any other route.

But I have to say, the thing that made Heaven's Feel an awesome route was Sakura and Rider's role. The main thing I didn't like about the Heaven's Feel route was that

Most of the heroes played a little role due to them being killed rather quickly.

UBW and HF are better in my opinion because of Shirou's development as an actual hero. In Fate, Saber does all the work. I also don't like them as a couple because there's hardly any love between them.

The romance between Shirou and Sakura is the best of the series. All the pain they go through to make it happen, everything that happens between them, because of them, for them... It's just amazing, y'know?

Besides all the badassness in the route, HF is my favorite route because:

A: In Fate, Shirou is an ass, and Saber denies her feelings so much that you start to think it really isn't that important. In the end, Shirou simple lets Saber slip away, and that was unforgivable.

B: Rin is a true ogre. LoL "I will never fuck you EVER again, you dumb animal!" was a bonerkiil.

C: Sakura made Shirou grab her by the waist and say he wanted to make love with her. No other could acomplish this deed.

@AstralSword Of the three of them, I like Saber the best as character, but for Shirou's love interest? It's simply Sakura. Rin seemed a fling (they didn't touch in a month...? LOL), I can't take seriously KING ARTHUR/Japanese teenage boy romance...come on now. While Sakura definitely got a realistic romance...

Indeed. Rin is a cute pair, but her way of doing things defiles everything a woman should do in a relationship.

Saber is... Well, she is King Arthur, as you said. It is hard to take that seriously, even if they make a bautiful couple.

Sakura is a more gentle and cute girl. She always loved him, but also desperately needed him, as tthe hero he always wanted to be, and as the man he turned himself into in HF route. Sakura made Shirou become his best altogether.

@AstralSword No, Rin doesn't defy anything in being a woman? She just seemed far more interested in Saber most of the time than Shirou... Now I don't blame her lol. Sakura has always been interested and serious about it, so I give her an edge.

The HF route is not as good as UBW in my opinion.

But it's better than Fate for 2 reasons:

1. Shiro. His badassness removed the "Bad" from "Bad End" in Sparks Liner High.

2. Illya. Because without her, there would be no "Good End" in HF.

I feel HF was certainly a lot... heavier than the other routes, had a lot more drama.

And was by far and away my favorite of the three.

To all of those who are saying things along the line of how Fate Route is meh:

This is wrong. Fate Route is an amazing story. It is only lacking in comparison to UBW and HF.

@gwonbusH It's my guess that most people watch the anime first, and it's obviously just a watered-down Fate route (with bits from UBW and a teeny bit from HF). Therefore they don't get the proper full impression nor impact of Fate.

I in particular watched the anime AFTER reading the Fate & UBW routes and I didn't find anything about Fate that puts it noticeably below the other 2 routes, if below at all.

(personally I think my least favorite is HF but it's so close it's within margin of error)

@nintendomaniac64 I didn't really like HF as much as UBW or Fate, but it's probably because the pacing seemed a bit off for me(Might have had something to do with getting all the bad ends) and Shirou seemed to digress a bit from UBW. Though the scenes with Kotomine during it were amazing enough, and most of the extra characters caught my attention, though I didn't care much for Sakura.

Agreed, HF is my favorite route (UBW is second, Fate is just kinda meh).

This Scene is the most heart wrenching thing in all of Fate/Stay Night, easily. (though the whole route is a major contender pretty much start to finish). Plus, 4 words. "Nine Lives Blade Works"

@Dranikos HF is probably the best route, but UBW is my favorite because of the shounen in me and Rin. Fate can't be compared with these 2 routes though.
