The formerly named, Terence Trent D'Arby always does Sam Cooke's classic songs, justice. I don't throw term genius around, but his body of work speaks for itself.
i was in junior high when this came out. I was a fan then. as i recall this song was part of a two track b-side for a single, from his first album, not available in any form other than 12" single. By now could be on a compilation.
ok Im guilty of not giving him his more than due accreditation in his era. Really liked his music but then(the 80's) it was so many GOOD artist out there and yes im a die hard MJ fan.So you see where my attention was.Yes I bought a TTD cassette but of course it was stolen....bum ass friends I had...lol!!
There is nothing wrong with money and success, but real artists who simply feel everything they do, haven't necessarily got commercialism as a priority. TTD gives me a raw emotional experience when he performs - in that context buggar the money. If he's happy, carry on TTD
He is under rated because that is how he wants it. If he just stopped thinking about his internal pains so much and just accepted the help of music managers who could promote him better than what he's got, he would get out of the slump. But he wants it like that. His actions speak for themselves.
he was blessed to have one of the greatest voices. He sings sam well, somebody should suggest he does a sam cooke tribute album both artist listeners will love it. They both sing with so much heart and soul.
In many of his more soulful songs, Terrence come across to me as Sam Cook with raw roots. Fantastically underated artist, his "A Change is Gonna Come" blows me away every time
TTD is now Sananda Maitreya is he is STILL killing. Sent out a Live version of Little Drummer Boy 2day 4 Christmas. Search it. He is one of the last KINGS standing.
uh he still does albums, and dont believe everything they tell you, they said the same thing about prince, when they were trying to blackball him, i wouldnt be surprised if they were doinn g the same to this guy
@varutedddy Yes it is. England is really into black musicians. They have excellent taste. This is were I found Terence on a visit. Why is it so many young, talented black singers die young. Also, The Beatles and The Rolling Stones made it big time off black music, like Otis Redding,The Marvellettes. Gone to soon.

The words for the middle part:
Don't know much about the middle ages,
Look at the pictures i just turn the pages....
Don't know much about the rise and fall,
Don't know much about nothing at all!!
But girl it's you that I've been dreaming of
And if I could only win your love for me,
What a wonderful world this would be

Prince is a complete undeniable egomaniac. He's talented beyond measure, but humility is not one of his attributes :)
