  • I'm 31 and in the process of going Navy Reserve but the Army looks better.... I got a 90 on the asvab.... should I go Army Reserve? Oh man! My recruiter will be so pissed... but I've been waiting 5 months... still not in the Navy yet... Feel free to give me some input, thanks.

  • This song is so freakin epic :D

  • @joetufano719 so your a little wannabe punk. you think joining army will give you trhe respect you dont get now.so join! nothings stopping you. coward

  • LOL, the US army is so gung ho that it has its own theme tune :p

  • Joined the Reserve last month and will do ROTC after BT and AIT next spring =) Then hopefully I can get active duty as a CO after college.

  • NG and reserves are a joke. Fat out of shape, and the 40 year old SPC. Rundown equipment and they get no respect. As a platoon Sgt once told me "I have seen homeless is street clothes better fit to serve."

  • This is propanganda

  • @kerojis And what?

  • wow i really dont think there are many other organizations in this world where whites, blacks, latinos, mexicans, asians and people of all races say they are one family. and that is something amazing and it is one huge step against racism

  • Im really thinking of joining the army reserves but i worry about how it could effect my children

  • My biggest regret is not joining the army reserves right after high school. Now Im going to wait after college.

  • @TheCaliCapitalist I'm thinking about joining the Army reserve while I'm in college and taking ROTC

  • @TheCaliCapitalist

You can join DURING college =)

  • ARMY National Guard For the win New York And Arkansas National guard Are the best

  • The funny thing is, there is no single active soldier that has gone through any more training then a reserve/guard soldier is you ignorant fucks. I respect the marine corps just as much as any other person but they're sailors with guns, not gods. The guard has rangers, special forces and airborne. You go to the same schools and training, just guard can be called out by governors and the president. Your asses would be dead if it weren't for the guard/reserve in any component. Fat bastards.

  • looks like their is 10 america haters that saw this video but its a great vid i am in FL National guard and I just came back from deployment im in mos 11b which is infantry and just came back from Ahfganistan ive seen some real shit im 6'2 i have shot a couple guys in patrol and i am no pussy just because my training is a bit harder than marines

  • @GabeMartinez13 opps im mean easier than marines

  • @GabeMartinez13 you shot somebody no shizzle ?? i know a marine who has been on 3 or 4 tours and hasnt shot anybody might have got in 2 or three gun fights

  • HOOAAHH!!!! i know how you all feel. im a national guard soldier and im leaving for training in june and deploying in january

  • @ArabsStank dude, shut the fuck up!

  • @ArabsStank Fuck you dumbass you dont know what it is like being in the army national guard all you know is you sit home and finger your ass faggot I bet you cant even survive bootcamp get a life.

  • @ArabsStank I'd beat your ass, you pussy ass desk jockey

  • @infantrymagik Well I hope you're strong enough.....that should be no problem with all that PT that u guys in the guard.....oh wait thats right....Guard doesn't do PT. No wonder that have so many fat bodies

  • hey guys, does it really take 3 years to get into the reserves or is it just in the regular force? i want to join now while i am 16, and i want to become a weapons technician because i heard if u try to get into artiller or infantry it wont work, how would a reservist be in the infantry or artillery if they want to stay cclose to home? would i go after school once a week and 1 weekend to a near by base and just learn to shoot guns and do other infantry training? ofcourse after im done my BT

  • Today's Soldier; COULD NEVER MAKE MARINE CORPS

  • @TheSystemofsystems Pathetic.

  • I'm planning on joining the National Guard in Spring. Thanks for the vid man. I needed it. My dad was in Vietnam and I want to try guard for the experience.

  • im signing up tomarrow TOO... come on i dident quit smoking weed for nothing

  • what's wrong with growing up in Brooklyn??

  • Most of this audience (those that insist on talking like children) haven't a clue as to how the National Guard and US Army Reserve member work in conjunction with the active duty force. Most are forgetting because they are naif or just are uninformed that those who are not in the active side also have expertise on many civilian careers. Image a pitch hitter who can hit from the right and the left. They put him or her in to make that winning run, even though he/she is a leftie.

  • @sgtbilly10

In war an Army Reservist or National Guardsman is exactly that. Remember too that the Marines or other services also have Reserves. As noted, there is statistics that reinforce the training and dedication we have as Reservists and National Guardsmen. Don't hide behind ignorance with jokes about us...

  • @sgtbilly10 "I fired the shot that started a nation" - Army National Guard circa 1775

  • Yes, the jokes are long gone. The statistic prove that citizen soldiers have out numbered the active soldiers in war. We train hard, and sadly some units are not up to par. We have active soldiers switching over to our component due to the countless options. Visit us at our webpage on here for more info. It is no longer drill but battle assembly. Train hard or go Home..hooah ..

  • peacethroughstrength -> refers to George Orwell's 1984

  • taknig my ASVAB tomorrow!

  • Lol did anyone else saw the marine next to the army soldiers

  • U.S army reserve sucks ass i wouldn't recomend it if you come in short on money you'll be fine for a few months but then you'll be back at square one

  • @kingheinz57 thats why you get another job while serving in the reserves

  • I have already swore in the national guard thinking about 18b special forces weapons sergeant.

  • Daaaahhhm!.. They should all go 2 mexico N kill all da "ZETAS" N CARTELS so mexico could be safe again!

  • Will The National Guard, and the armed forces of America, protect the people, of America, remeber you and your famly's and frieends who are WE THE PEOPLE against a corrupt government ? Isn't it said that if a soldier is given a order and he/she knows it's wrong, they must refuse such order.

  • hmm...national guard or reserves? and 11b infantry or 19d calvary scout?

  • @0nlyhalfevil333

The National Guard provides more overall more leeway and better benefits (when you include state benefits) when compared to the Regular Army, not to mention the fact that their primary mission is as the stateside American Militia. However, when you join a certain state you have to remain far more sedentary and remain in your state, not to mention the fact that some states are better staffed and/or funded than others.

  • @0nlyhalfevil333 Army Reserve has no more combat MOS's. So you'll have to go National Guard. As far as which MOS, either will be awesome. Good Luck. Joining Guard very soon, 11B. Going Active after college.

  • @0nlyhalfevil333 Army National Guard, Infantry

  • Do the Army Reserve use guns like the Army National Guard?

  • @vgmaster9 the army is the army... all train at the same BCTs together and all have some of the basic MOS as the other variations. depending on the NG unit you enlist with in your area you may not have a lot of MOS open with them when you enlist and depending on if their is a reserve unit near where you live you may have to move farther away to get the MOS you want and be attached to the reserve unit but they all do the same job.

  • @vgmaster9 lol...yes, they do

  • @infantrymagik Lol cool

  • Just dont shoot your own fellow Americans citizens...aight

  • Why the fuck is people using drill on the internet ?!? You cant verbally stand at ease... (ps: Glad to see that theres at least some people that respect reserve forces)

  • At ease grunt. you need to relax, readjust fire on the enemy and not the reserve or guard soldier that saves your ass.

  • army reserves = gate guards and PX raiders and they wear hooah PT belts. just go active INFANTRY the GRUNTS.

  • @gonzogunner240 - this sounds like this is coming from a kid who has no clue about the reserves? First off, they have rent-a-cop at the gates now, and that reflective belt that everyone is required to wear, that's just a safety issue. So my comment below is directed at you...".. at ease grunt..."

  • @sgtbilly10 ok expert fobbit.

  • @gonzogunner240 - well Specialist Gonzo.... you got at least one word right... that is expert... and an expert, allow me to enlighting you on military bearing.... if I ever hear you on an open forum talk down and bad mouth Senior NCO's, I will find you ass, and call your commanding officer, and proceed with an Article 15 hearing... start acting like a professional and S-T-F-U!

    1SG S.

. Read AR360-1 and adjust fire accordingly. !!!

  • @sgtbilly10 i am not specialist. nor did i bad mouth any senior NCO's. i called you a expert fobbit. your AR means little in internet world.

p.s. 1sg's don't flame on youtube there mostly watching youporn or fishing.

  • After high school i'm thinking about joining the national guard because mainly we can't afford college aside from comute but it's still fairly expensive and i don't want my parents to suffer economicly either way paid tuition plus free classes while there and a signing bonous which will help me and get on with my life cause i'm not one of those lucky ones who's parents saved up money for thier kids to go to college or just for their benefit either way i'm motivated to go and do my part

  • @up648 yea me too man ima join the army national guard

  • Im currently in the national guard and there are people who talk bad bout it with the whole "one weekend a month' but i all fairness we do deploy fight side by side with full time army and also serve the country in the civilian side

  • @OnFrailWings06 "I fired the shot that started a nation" - Army National Guard circa 1775

  • Active Duty we train like we fight!!!!

  • @MrArmyman1784 - do you even know where that sentence started? Its from a CPT Swan, who became a Maj. in the recruiting side and he used it to enhance the reserve force... the active force trains anyways... but the money that the Guard and Reserve needed wasn't there.... it is now.

  • reserves suck.

  • Hooah gear up or stay the fuck home.

  • if anyone is in ohio and is interested in enlisting this year of 2010 to active duty Army, email me at davidmpenwell@ymail (*) com i was enlisted in 2006 and got out btu would like to re-enlist now with a partner to get a higher rank in the buddy program. if your interested do not hesistate to email me thanks

  • the talk of family...that just makes me think about how horrible "don't ask, don't tell" is, they don't get to talk about their husbands and wives, they do not exist because of DA DT. Their partners won't even get the flag from their coffin. Repeal DA DT to give current and future soldiers and their families the honor and respect they deserve

  • Im joining The Army National Guard, well i say joining i already swore in and am awating my shipdate which is June 9th 2010. I will be attending Ft. Jackson in SC. And i Joined the Guard to see if i wuld like the military before making an active duty commitment and for college purposes. My AIT is 15J/15E (there being combined or changed not shure yet.) but its Avionics Electronic System Repair. (Military Intellegence)

  • i jes enlisted in the national guard i leave april 7th...and for all u jarhead lovers...the marines have reserves 2...and jes cuz ur a marine doesnt meen u have a job that makes u tuff

  • @steveakasteven They all assume that they're "infantry" lol

  • Military is military. Period. Doesn't matter what branch. Be it AD Army, Reserve, Gaurd, NAVY or Marines. Don't say someone is a 'pussy' because they chose the Gaurd/Reserve over the Marines. Because each one is a small part of a larger entity and each one is equally needed.

RESPECT OUR SOLDIERS. They fight for us.

  • @DarkFox7979 I joined the National Guard. I come from a Military family and I am the only one out of the great grandkids that joined the military. I proud to serve my country.

  • @DarkFox7979 The Army National Guards requires trainees to do a 9 minute run, 12 push-ups and 20 sit-ups, and no mention of pull-ups for men. The Green Berets require that trainees do 100 pushups, 100 sit-ups, 7 minute mile run and 20 pull-ups.. You call that the same?

  • @blackyblackblack505 that's not true. To qualify in any branch of the army it's the same active, reserve and guard. And as for the green berets, they don't have to do 100 pushups and situps and 7 minutes mile run. They are encouraged to do as many as possible and 52 pushups 64 situps is there goal. As for the runs, they aren't judged in single miles they all go by twos. And it's a 14:30 two mile run, not to mention the fact that the national guard has green berets as well doing the same.

  • @blackyblackblack505 You just made all that up. You did know that green beret units are in the national guard, right? No? Figures.

  • @ltshortcut Dude.. It's the internet. Everyone knows you can't make stuff up on the internet.

  • @blackyblackblack505 You're a moron. you're not even in the service, are you? why don't you go google " army physical fitness standards", then come back here and apologize. Fool.

  • @MrPwnag3 Jesus fucking christ I'm not talking about basic training..

  • @blackyblackblack505 what are you talking about then, idiot? Because the standards are the same at all levels.

  • @MrPwnag3 OMFG BRO! Go crack open a book. There are entire sections on this topic in book stores. Maybe then you'll realize the difference between between MOS and SPEC.

  • @blackyblackblack505 Ha ha you're definitely talkin out of your ass now, fool.

  • @MrPwnag3 Nigga whaaaaat.

  • @blackyblackblack505 no the national guard takes the same test as active army unless you are in RSP then you take the 1-1-1 not the 2-2-2

  • @blackyblackblack505 The 19th and 20th Special Forces Groups are part of the US Army National Guard. So it's very possible to be a bad-ass in the Guard.

  • @blackyblackblack505 That's not true at all. The Army National Guard uses the APFT

  • @DarkFox7979 I agree with you fully.

  • wankers death to them all

  • dumbass do you even know what wankers means? one who wanks(masturbation) dumbass

  • National Guard does nothing. They are pretty much a state militia that can be called up but more than likely won't. They do get paid but only when they work.

  • @captubb you are not anywhere close to being correct. National Guard and Army Reserve are almost the exact same they both are just as likely to get deployed. The biggest difference is we can get activated by the state to help out in a crisis such as tornado, earthquake, hurricane etc...

We have drill 1 weekend and month and 2 weeks in the summer. National guard does exactly the same if not more.

  • how do you figure that?

we are being deployed overseas just as much as AD army.

dont take if you have no idea about what your talking about.

i bet you havent even walked in to a recruiting center to talk to a recruiter.becausssseeeeee.

your a pussy and all u do is talk shit.

be a man and do something!dont talk shit on people risking there lives for YOUR freedom.

    saying we dont do shit.bullshit!.

we do more than you do in 10 sec.

grow some balls and become a man.JOIN B4 U TALK SHIT!

    pussy

  • @applemonkey187 Oh yeah? I am what i eat... Sorry man. I had to say that. Oh yeah. My dad was a Nam vet. Still has his M1A1 too.

  • if u are what u eat.then wouldnt you be a dick? or nutsack?

and thats your dad.NOT you.just cause your dad isnt a total bitch.doesnt mean that you aint.

so dont feed me that bullshit that your dad is a vet.cause that doesnt mean you did shit.your dad did..

    dumb ass

  • Get a grip on life man I was only joking. And did I say I did anything? All I said was "My dad was a Nam vet." Did I somewhere imply that I have done something in the army? Of course I haven't done anything. I wonder who the "dumb ass" would be now.

    Dip shit.

Oh and you don't think that we support the military cause we do. Why else would we send provisions, ask for you guys safe return to your families? You want the public to forget about all your efforts in supporting our country and not care?

  • my bad..lol.well thank you for the support man.

and i must of confused you with a dif persons comment.

  • Apology accepted. :] How is it in the front dude? You seen combat yet? And what weapon do you prefer to use? I'm considering enlisting in the future.

  • @XXNeonXX54 - what a twat... yes I've seen combat...in 91 during Desert Storm when you were still shitting in your diapers, I was there and put my life on hold for 14 months...again in 2003 in Baghdad, for 22 months, in 2005 12 months and again in 2009, I just got back from Afghanistan - now what have you been doing for your country in the last year (or even last ten years)???

  • @XXNeonXX54 - so whats your point... you noted in several negative statements that because your dad served in "Nam"... (Vietnam) that you have full knowledge of what it takes to be in the military. Its a far cry to see it, and listen to it, or be involved in it, and see shit happening around you. Instead of coming to a forum and calling people names maybe join the fucking peace corps at least you would be helping someone instead of this bullshit.??

  • @infantrymagik bet u wish i was.u know u like swingin dick in ur face.come get spme of this pog dick

  • the national guard has an active and reserve component within itself. so get your facts straight

  • @captubb -thats a very ignorant statement. Most of the deployments for combat support and combat services are supplied directly by the National Guard. Pretty ignorant - ??

  • @captubb The Guard does nothing? Wow. Your whole statement smacks of total ignorance. Have you been in a coma for the past 10 years?

  • @captubb lol I've been in the ARNG since April 1995. Almost 16 years. Of those 16 years, 7 years is active duty. That seems a bit more than 1 weekend a month, 2 weeks a year with a very low liklihood of being deployed. Ignorant fool.

  • You need a G.E.D or a Diploma.

If you go national guard you're a fucking pussy ass bitch.

    Active or nothing.

  • @Captubb, You're a fucking straight up idiot !! A soldier is a soldier regardless dumbass !

  • Actually no, if you go in the military every branch will respect you, I'd like to see a marine or a army drill sergeant say to his recruits if you would of joined the guard you would be a pussy ass bitch, and you must think so because either you cant join the military, or did and it didnt work out.

  • Ok so can someone please explain what is the National Guard of the States? What do they do? When do they do it? Do they go to the enemy frontlines? Do they fight? Do they get paid? Etc..... I am so intrsted but dont know much about this branch.

  • ok im enlisting tomorrow haha but idk do the reserves suck? lol and how long does it take to go active if your in the reserves and you want to go active?

  • I'm going from National Guard to Active duty in a 6 months..

  • Signing my contract this friday!

  • @atallperson signed mine today... im really happy

  • @atallperson Heavily considering doing the same. Much love and respect to the armed service members out there defending us out there.

  • @atallperson you brave mother fucker!

  • @divinedvonlol, thanks, I leave for basic on july 12..wish me luck!

  • @atallperson Yup, I've now been in since Jan 29th! I leave for basic training july 12! Can't wait!!

  • @atallperson cool bro i hope u make it in because i wanna be in the army reserve

  • @atallperson Good Luck, I'm signing this winter, 11B Guard. Good Luck in your Army career.

  • @atallperson

    congrats :)

  • The days of making fun of the Army Reserve or Guard are over. Most members in both extensions of the Guard and Reserve have met and surpassed the needs of this country and are truly "Citizen Soldiers."

Most don't realize that the part time weekend warriors have more than just that weekend duty...but rather volunteer to do duty, a year or longer away from our full time jobs, family and other obligations We give that to our country...what have you done lately???

  • @sgtbilly10 - I did some LSD a couple weeks ago, does that count?

  • hey 1 question do u need a diploma to join the national guard?

  • Yes, and if you don't get your diploma you're a fucking dumbass. Get your diploma or you fail at life.

  • high school one yes.

  • what if u dont have one u cant join??

  • no, i believe you need one to join

  • thanks man

    and to join the army???

  • i believe it the same for every branch of the military. you may want to talk to a recruiter.

  • For the Marines you need a High School Diploma...but for the National Guard you are required a GED and if you dont have one they have a program which helps you get one.

  • thanks bro

  • @sgtbilly10 what is the national guards exactly.. is it An american branch that only bases itself on the mainland

  • @sgtbilly10 That is so true. Thank You. My uncle is Retired Active Army and says they used to make fun of Guard/Reserve, but now they're no joke. Hell, the Army National Guard has Special Forces Groups and a few Airborne Units(LRS), the Air Guard has Pararescue and Combat Control, Marine Reserves have Recon units, and Navy Reserves have EOD and Divers. All of those are Special Operations and Special Forces. The days of making fun of weekend warriors should definitely be over. Future 11B Guard.

  • @sgtbilly10 i agree... and some people just go full time active duty.. like myself... im 24 single with a 2 year old. and i cant up and leave. and ive wanted to be a marine my whole life buts not a happening thing so if i want to serve my country and be home to thne the reserves it is

  • What? When has our military ever stolen weapons from Americans....are you insane? Now our president has made sure those living in our nations capitol can't have any...but our military defends your freedoms...even if you're a moron! My husband says all the time he defends everyone's right to an opinion...no matter how stupid it may be. Why do you post such idiocy? Our military does not take weapons away from law abiding Americans. why make yourself look like the moron you are?

  • Curious to those that think we should not have a military? Who will defend us?

Our military does far more than fight wars. We have provided much needed aid and relief to the entire world. When any country has a natural disaster or is attacked by others, who do they call...the US MILITARY! Who do we call THE US MILITARY ! It's not all about killing. It's about defending and saving. The Afghans my husband is helping begs him to stay. They tell him how much they need us and want us to stay!

  • so uneducated. thats all i have to say.

  • lol the national guard is a joke..weekend warriors.

  • Comment removed

  • Im in the active army. I have friends in the national guard and reserves. we have trained with some national guard soldiers and they did not know shit. Also they cant do pt for shit . So compared to the active Army, national guard and reserves are a JOKE! HOOAH!!!!!!!!!! and also im not disrespecting anyone, im just saying the truth

  • It really depends on the unit ur with. As you know some units are better than others it all depends really on how the NCO's and officers want them to be. true some guys in the ng think its a joke and are just their to collect a paycheck. But most in the guard take it seriously some of my sergeants have done 3 or 4 combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan they are squared away soldiers. I think its kinda stupid to go online a bash ur own brothers in arms but thats just my take on it.

  • i guess its a active duty thing but we talk shit to different MOS's and 2 other companys in our battalion. i know that its kind of stupid to talk shit about my brothers in arms but its all fun and games. But when it comes down to the real thing it a 1 team 1 fight.

  • we joke around too all the time. i just got annoyed cause civilians seem to think guard is a joke wen really they have no idea wat we do. its fine to poke fun at other military if ur military but i thought u were a civi and so i was kinda pissed. plus when they read those kinda coments they actually think were a joke so it bothers me.

  • i guess thats true.... so whats ur MOS????

  • im a 21echo heavy equipment operator.

  • Ohh 4 real .. Well I'm a 21 bravo combat engineer.

  • I was thinking about being a 21 bravo but the guard said that they needed 21 echos and gave me a bonus so i went with that instead. i wanna go to sapper school I think wat they teach there is really useful.

  • 11 BANG BANG

  • I agree. I see like this. Even on Active duty, youre not out in the field EVERY day doing your MOS just like the Guard is out there EVERY day doing theirs. Ive been on both side of Active and Guard so I know.

  • National Guard is a joke

  • vous croyez que sa fait plaisir au afghan de voir vos tete de bite tout les jours

  • I'm thinking bout going in the national guard but I don't know what it's about or what you do can someone help me out and tell me what the national guard is about....

  • The Army National Guard is about commitment, dedication, and the love for this great country. What you want to do once inside the Army is totally up to you. Score high on your ASVAB. But to answer your question. You are a guardian of America this is what the Guard is all about

    HOOHA!!

  • 23960Bossman. NG, the oldest military in the country, over 350 yrs. NG is one third force of the Army, 350,000 of 1,100,000 Soldiers. As a Guardsman, you are a Citizen Soldier, part time warrior and a civilian. You will have 2 occupations. This is an advantage over Active Duty Soldiers. Also, 2 paychecks when you retire.

  • dude before you join up, u really should watch this vid

    /watch?v=gpKRpzjHnts

  • me 2

  • The national guard is a wealth of oppertunity. It is what you make of it. We serve overseas in combat but also provide relief in a disaster zone. Education is critical to the guard the more you can get the better. The guard has over 100 job oppertunities whether you want to fight on the front line with the infantry or fix helicopters the guard has nearly as many career oppertunities as the civilian world. Go on the website just type national guard in a search engine.

  • Lots of phD involved in climategate. Lots of very bad doctors killing people. Maybe you will be killed by someone defending their home in Iraq or Afghanistan. Justice would be served...no?

  • The last soldier at the end sounded awsome!

  • Parents who love their kids should think about letting their kids getting anywhere near these "kinder-recruiters".

Parents should have the ability to "opt-out" of this kind of presentation for their kids, particularly the very young ones.

But if our military are doing such presentations in elementary schools, it is obvious that the military and civilian government are really hell-bent on a "wars without end" future for you, your kids, and your grand-children.

  • i joined the military when i was 17, so both my mother and father had to sign my recruitment papers too. Both are college educated, my father with a PhD.

  • So your college educated parents were not military. The intelligent do not become federal thugs/cannon fodder.

  • my PhD father was at one time in the military (he was forty when he had me) they also signed the enlistment papers of my three siblings who joined when they were 17. So your college educated parents were not military. The intelligent do not become federal thugs/cannon fodder. So only people who share your purely emotionally driven leftwing gayness are intelligentyeah

  • If you have ever watched this seductive practice at a military base holding some kind of a "community festival" for local civilians and their families, sometimes complete with a performance by the Blue Angels, it is a wonder to behold.

The young men and women recruited for these missions are very carefully chosen. They have a wonderful way with kids, explaining how the various weapons work in such a way as to not explain that the purpose of these weapons is to create death and carnage.

  • But gay left wing groups can come into elementary schools and poison the kids minds with that filth.

  • I am all for the military and volunteering but when you have the national guard following orders to confiscate the weapons of American citizens on our own soil after hurricane Katrina those soldiers are not worthy of wearing that uniform or calling them self's American solders

  • Why would you need a gun after a hurricane?

  • @Chromwell666 people were shooting at helicopters

  • well "hateeveryone1" that kind of stuff tends to happen when they get shot at and people are looting and rampaging around with ak out in the open. wtf do u expect

  • What kind of response is that? All branches are out there VOLUNTEERING and fighting for YOUR rights. You should be thanful that you have the freedoms that you have, so and stop posting "crap" and start appreciating what you have because of all of the branches in the military!
