@zugurudumba EA decided to bring it back Mirrors Edge 2 is gonna happen and with Frostbite the same engine used for Battlefield 3, That's going to be EPICCC! For once EA has made me happy!!!

Where did you find the clips to make most of this? These are not available during game play from what I can tell

@AMD64EVER The footage was from the various trailers of the game. Specifically the Story trailer and some other trailers. I got them from downloading the trailers (in glorious 720p) from the 360 and extracting them from the 360 hard drive with the 360 transfer cable. I think they're available online too, but I just went with the trailers from the 360 version since I was extracting and backing up other stuff from my 360 hard drives.

Nah, he's gonna be in the sequel. His genetic clone from the future will help out Faith.

Just kidding :). Yeah his character wasn't that fully fleshed out, and they decided to give him the axe. Really, the only back story he had was in the training video, and I doubt everyone saw that video, hehe.

Still, I hate it when games don't have a proper story, and require sequels to tell the whole thing.

im not sure but i dont think THIS game needs a proper story^^. this game has something special which makes it very different to all the other games which are out there.

everyone knows that, buts your opinion that u hate it if the story isnt proper ;) so dont mind the second part of my comment ( :

This game already has a proper story man. It's just that the developers said they were planning to do a trilogy of games.

With the game not selling as much, all plans for the sequels have been dropped. 

So all the stuff about Merc getting killed, Faith still running from the evil bad guys (which is hinted in the credits), and the whole information is suppressed and there being a revolution are hinted upon in the sequel.

And guess what? No sequels are being made, unless Electronic Arts risks it.

That means that all that stuff hinted upon at the end, is pointless and never ever gonna be finished. I don't hate the story, mind you. I hate it when stories get drawn out into sequels, when they could have just put it into one game. Totalitarian George Orwellian 1984 styled future where they block information and you fight the law is an awesome plot device, I just wish that it didn't require sequels.

Of course if they do release a sequel or two, it will awesome, since they can finish the story. Maybe give meaning to certain deaths that happened and actions the character Faith made. Especially the destruction of the main government information block (the Shard) and how the citizens react.

But we won't probably get it, since EA is more into making money, and the Battlefield series makes tons of bucks. They'll probably want DICE to make more of those than Mirror's Edge.

i didnt said that this game didnt have a proper story :P i only said that this game dont NEED a story to be good. the first time i played this game i was just impressed by the colours, the gameplay and the music which fits perfect to all the things ingame are happening. ;).. Fair enough. Yes, the great game play, graphics, and music are good on their own :).

My wish is that the developer of the game should have just fleshed the story out a bit more, instead of relying on sequels or little videos like these to give the player a sense of what the plot is. Why bother starting a story and not finishing it?

It makes more sense if they didn't have a story, like you said.

Yeah, I take it everyone knows about this now. That whole discussion above was three months ago, back when EA was bitching about the low sales of Mirrors Edge (and Dead Space). Now there's a sequel!

Actually, the senior producer for the game, Owen O'Brien, has said that the game is going to be a trilogy, but anything will do for me. Hopefully they can finish the story, haha!

oh, id didnt notest ;DD great, a trilogy! Mirrors edge is by far the best game i've ever played, (Got my 360 2 months ago, so i'm a newbie, and it was my first game) and i have played it over 300 hundred times now xD i guess, lol
