Sorry, I haven't responded for awhile. I am using a 2.5" laptop hard drive. I'm using Xececuter FW and a Sammy drive. The top doesn't touch the disc. As far as making one for someone, I'm not sure yet. Cutting the case, rigging the DVD drive, and parts would make it not cheap. I suggest having the cutouts to help prevent overheating. Hey man, I've been thinking about building a slim xbox. The search function on xbox-scene doesn't seem to work and I've been unable to find any links. Any help? Do you also know if you can make wireless 360 controllers work for it? (I'm making it have a wireless adapter and wireless controllers too.)

As far as i know, no one has made a 360 controller work for the xbox but that doesn't mean you can't (anything is possible), it would just take alot of work and research. A wireless would take even more work since you would have to create your own wireless reciever. If you haven't done much electronic modification, I would say start off with some other projects and work up to this.

hey man, does that run hot? i didnt check all your comments to see if someone asked, so dont flip. besides that, i have been actually working on one, and so far, the only major problem i ran into was the wireless receiver, which i'm just gonna take from my f*cked up 360. the receiver itself is a damn challenge tho........
