  • I was taking whey protien it worked great but when i was done with it i bought the wrong muscle shake lol -__- its called " bulk up mass" non calabric is this any good??

  • @fallenskater52

I'm not a big fan of weight gainers myself. I usually just stick to pure protein powders. Obviously use up what you have now, but make sure to get a pure protein powder in the future.

  • thanks for the info.... it helps a lot to me. what pre-training supplement do you recommend?

  • @jeof1000

I've got this covered in my video called: "Pre and Post Workout Nutrition"

Just search for it here on YouTube.

  • Hey lee great video btw. I want to lose a lot of body fat and also gain muscle size, but I also want to be defined. i am taking macimuscle promax diet for weight loss and after taking this I want to take creatine to increase my muscle size and still stay defined. Would uou say that that is a good idea?

  • @94shanen

You need to focus on gaining mass first, then worry about dieting down afterwards. You can't bulk up and cut up at the same time.

  • See, i want to take pure creatine monohydrate, the problem is im healthy for the most part with the exception that i have slight bowel problems, long story short, ive always been able to put on mass and make gains but i wanted to supplement with creatine anyways, but im thinking more towards kre alkalyn only because with my bowels i have bloating and mild cramping as it is and im not sure if creatine would make that worse while kre alkalyn isnt supposed to have those side effects, any advice?

  • @NotYourAverageJoe321

Try taking 1 serving of creatine per day and see how you react to it. I'd still start with creatine monohydrate. It may not cause any problems at all with such a low dose.

  • Hey! I like your videos.. I was just wondering if the serving pr day is the same for women? Thanks :)

  • @Unii85

Yeah, women can follow the same directions. Just limit yourself to about 3 grams per serving instead of 5 grams. (i.e. about 1/2 teaspoonful per serving).

  • What about creatine monohydrate and water retention? I've seen some other videos here that say that creatine monohydrate increases water retention and causes bloating. Logically, I figure, if one wants to get ripped (or shredded) taking creatine monohydrate might not be the best idea.

  • @kgzulu

Creatine pulls water into the muscle cells, but it doesn't cause retention under the skin. I took creatine right up to the day of my bodybuilding show and was still ripped on stage.

  • Can you do a video on Amino Acid supplements please?

  • @naffynuck

I cover amino acids in "Bodybuilding Supplements Guide Part 5"

  • Come on lee,i watched in a video n u said u were endorsed by blue star, lol, good video anyways. Ive always relied on ur vids for advice from past 4 years

  • what if you take a preworkout such as jack3d that has creatine in it already, would that be counted as a serving??

    thanks

  • I've heard that creatine only makes you look, like you have muscles. But in fact the muscles arent string. Something to do with water consumption... I want to gain real strong muscle, and loose fat at the same time. What do you recomend?

  • @pakrisio You gain muscle mass but it makes your muscles not as hard due to the amount of water you are supposed to consume when taking creatine. So the weight you gain is water weight but you will gain strong muscle's but when you go off of creatine you can notice a drop in strenght and apperance due to the lowering levels of creatine in your body. Alot of people will say to take it for about 2 to 3 months then 1 month off because that is how long creatine will saturate or stay in your muscles

  • This video has certainly changed my mind about creatine.

As I know that we need to put a break while using creatine, but I am not sure how long can we take it continuously and what amount of break we should put?

Also I have the same question for the protein usage, what is the suggested time to take protein countinously and what amount of break time we should put?

Is it possible if we take protein for 2 months, put a break and take creatine during that amount of time, and vice-versa.

  • Great videos lee, i got two questions about creatine 1. can i take creatine year round or do i have to cycle off of it, if so what would be the best way of cycling? 2. Can i mix creatine with orange juice? Ive heard the acid in orange juice can destroy the creatine, do you think this is true?

  • how about the kidney and all that is that a lie or i really damage your stomach and how much water do i have to intake per day

  • how about the kidney and all that is that a lie or i really damage your stomach

  • after steroides creatine is the king i gained 4 kg in 2 weeks long life creatine i loved :)))

  • what about Msg's and glutemate that are in protien shakes that overuse your braincell receptors and destroy them.

  • @96761west

Glutamine is NOT the same as monosodium glutamate. The glutamine that's found in protein powder is actually very healthy. Just do a google search to see all the benefits of the amino acid glutamine.

  • good insight and no BS video as always from Lee.

How about doing someting on Iron Mag Labs.

Are they the best or not?

  • i cant stand the powdered creatine, what is your opinion of the ALRI CR2 supplement?

  • Great stuff you got there Lee. But I have a question. I'm planning to order whey protein Isoflex, amino acids and AST micronized creatine. Can you tell me if it isn't too much to take. I'm 17 yrs btw. Can I take all those supplements? Will it be safe to my age? Or am I risking? Thank you very much.

  • @leehayward..can u get cut with creatine or not.thx

  • @kila10225

Creatine will not hinder you from getting cut. It all comes down to proper diet and losing the bodyfat.

  • hey lee im take creatine at the moment should i also take amino acids

  • Lee!!!do you have to cycle off creatine

  • Lee, I was wondering, what is your thoughts on MusclePharm products? Can you check out the ingredients and give me your thoughts? Thanks!!

  • how long should i cycle if im taking the way you said? taking two servings on work days and one on off days...

  • Not sure if i've been wasting my money or not, but i've been buying MRI's CE-2 HiDef. Its a creatine complex, but its also a thermogenic, so its using some stored fat for energy. Should i cut that out or not and just get some regular creatine?

  • @ShamusOGrady2

Use up what you have, then when you get more creatine just go for the regular monohydrate powder and save some cash. I recommend BlueStarMuscle*com creatine 1000 grams of high quality creatine for $29 bucks.

  • Hey Lee, I have been working out past five months now and I am quite happy with my ongoing transformation. (I am on the ectomorphic side). I have only used protein powders in the past and now want to try out Creatine as well. Would it help and add bit more results to my ongoing transformation? How should to take it as a mass building/bulk up candidate? Any particular brand to choose from?

Thanks. You doing great and congo for ur new Muscle. She looks OSM. :D

  • @mayankgpwatson

Just take 1-2 servings per day. It's really simple, no need to make it complicated. I take 2 servings per day on my workout days and just 1 serving per day on non-workout days.

  • @leemhayward Thanks. I was way too much confused about the loading and maintainance phase. I will do the same as you suggested. Thanks :D

  • Hi, i have one question,I'm using Creatine and it really works but, my friend told me that Creatine can make you fat. is that true and if so, how?

  • @Cubekiller04

No offense, but your friend doesn't know what he is talking about. Creatine has no impact on your bodyfat levels.

  • Do you recommend creatine mix with beta alanine

  • @pac818k

Yes, you can mix both of them together in the same drink.

  • From some hater that said the creatine cause blood clots in the leg.

  • Dose creatine cause blood clot in the legs

  • @pac818k

No, creatine doesn't cause blog clots... Where did you hear that???

  • Hey Lee, I have a question about taking creatine in addition to consuming caffeine (namely a cup of coffee or two in the morning). Some people say it can dehydrate you because caffeine is a diuretic, which makes sense, however, I drink a lot of water to begin with. what are your thoughts on this dehydration thing and more importantly could caffeine (coffee) inhibit by body's use of creatine?

  • @VisionimagifyTV

You can mix creatine in water or juice. It doesn't matter.

  • @VisionimagifyTV

Take creatine in 5 grams servings. So if you are taking 10 grams, divide it into 2 daily servings.

  • @VisionimagifyTV

You can order pure creatine online at: BlueStarMuscle*com for $29.99 for 1000 grams. That's enough for 3-4 month supply.

  • what would be best to use to bulk up fast for summer creatine or whey protien???????

  • @beerpower123

    Both :-)

  • is the cheaper creatine products as effective as the expansive creatine products in a popular brand?

  • @theyamahacoolman

Go with creatine monohydrate. You can get 1000 grams of high quality creatine monohydrate for just $29.99 at: BlueStarMuscle*com That's enough to last you a 4 month supply.

  • should i take this even on my non workout days?

  • @traxxasmaniac123

Yes, creatine should be taken on a daily basis to maintain your creatine levels in the muscle cells.

  • This is really helpful thanks lee

  • hi lee. i've started bodybuilding a year ago, and now i want to give a shot to creatine.

so i was wondring what is the best momohydrate creatine i can use ??

  • @aminesurf123

Any good creatine mononhydrate product will do. The one I use is from BlueStarMuscle*com you can get 1000 grams for $29.99 which is a great deal and enough to last you for about 4 months.

  • hey lee, heres a question you may find intresting. i have amplified creatine 189 its pills form. i was wondering if you know anything about it weather its worth taking or not. i usally take muscle-tech isolate formula and/or muscle-tech NOP-47 for my workouts.

  • @imdrunk101

You can take the creatine pills you have, but in the future you would be better off buying pure creatine powder. It's much better value for your money.

  • Hi Lee, just wanted to know what you think the best method in consuming creatine? I've heard its best to drink it with something sugary so you can spike it into your system like grape juice. Others say mixing it with warm drinks works best, some say cold drinks. how about something hot? Is there anything you should avoid mixing it with? Thank you for your insight.

  • I want to gain 40 lbs of muscle using creatine what's best to use creatine wise

  • what's the best brand of creatine to get my moneys worth lee

  • @MrMoneymark420

I use BlueStarMuscle*com they have 1000 grams of high quality creatine for $29 bucks. That's enough to last you about 3-4 months.

  • Creatine is proper

  • thanks a lot, leemhayward , i was scare to take it good vide A++++

  • Is there an age preference as far as creatine intake is concerned?

  • @bgainesDM

I'd recommend people wait until their late teens before diving into supplements. I started working out when I was 12 years old, but I waited until I was 17 years old before I started using creatine, protein, vitamins, etc...

  • Thanks for sharing your experience. It really helps us beginners not to fall for all the crap that is advertised. Thanks for keeping it real man!

  • some rumors say that if you dont drink excessive amounts of water while taking creatine it will damage your kidneys (like mentioned about the rumors of protein in your previous video)

im not saying that i dont drink a healthy amount of water, but is extra necessary while taking creatine?

  • @rloft123

I personally think you should drink at least a gallon of water daily regardless if you take creatine or not.

  • @leemhayward

I'm buying Creatine tomorrow and gonna start working out for some muscles.

But im 15 so how much should i take?

OPTIMUM NUTRITION CREAPURE That is what im buying.

Or should i buy another? - please respond fast :)

  • I'm buying Creatine tomorrow and gonna start working out for some muscles.

But im 15 so how much should i take?

OPTIMUM NUTRITION CREAPURE That is what im buying.

  • Hi lee im going to buy my first bag of creatine but i only workout 2 times a week (3 sometimes) for 2:30 hours each, when im not working out should i still take it twice a day??

  • @connorsmit

You need to take creatine daily in order to get the benefit form it. So yeah you would still use this on your non-workout days as well.

  • @leemhayward

thanks for the help lee, great advise all the time!

  • @TheJuiy

Take 5 grams of creatine in your post workout shake.

  • Awesome series, Lee. Thanks for doing this.

  • hello lee, what do you think about kre alkalyn 1500?

  • @marvelousmarv89

If you have any issues with creatine monohydrate upsetting your stomach Kre Alalyn is a good alternative.

  • I have a question. I do Judo, and have been for some time, and I'm thinking of getting some muscles and strength built up since Judo is alot about grabbing and overpowering your oponent. I'm 19 by the way. I don't go to the gym, simply because my time schedule is filled with college and work.

I've tried protein powder before, but I gave up on simply because I hate the taste of it (I tried the chocolate one)

So what I was wondering is, are there any tasteless protein powders out there?

  • Lee, should I still take 5 grams of creatine daily when I'm taking Jack3d for a preworkout. The jack had creatine mono included in it.

    Thanks.

  • Please correct me if i'm mistaken!

    - Taking creatine BEFORE workout is good for energy, strength & power lifting.

    - Taking creatine AFTER workout is good for muscle building & recovery

  • @joe83alone

Creatine works and has all the benefits you mentioned regardless of when you take it. I personally prefer to keep it post workout as it gets absorbed better by depleted muscles.

  • Lee im am 17 years old and I just train for strength.. what would be a better supplement for a powerlifter creatine or whey protein? Please help me

  • @mrlatino187

    Both :-)

But if you are going to nit pick and just use one, then use protein powder over creatine.

  • i am stuck on weather or not to take creatine but lots of people say creatine makes you bloated is this true\/

  • @themathew21

I've never gotten bloated from taking creatine. Why not give it a try and see how it works for you. You can pick up a small container for less than $20 and give it a go.

  • would creatine be good for a powerlifter?

  • @mrlatino187

Yes, creatine is a great supplement to help increase your strength and power. A lot of powerlifters use it.

  • The video is very informative, but there is just one thing I want to ask... how often should you cycle the creatine and when should you do it?

  • @irepbmore

You don't need to take creatine 3 times per day. Once or twice per day at most is all you need to get the benefits of creatine supplementation.

  • Hey lee, is taking creatine bad for you?

  • @TurtIeBoy

Did you watch the video? No Creatine Is NOT Bad, in fact it has numerous health benefits.

  • hey lee, i just found out my protein whey ( from Body Fortress) has creatine in it, i think its approximately 6g per serving, i was wondering that if i stopped taking it would i lose my strength over time?? i did notice quite a bit of gains from drinking the stuff.

  • hey lee, im 16 (gona be 17 soon)

is it safe for me to take creatine and other supplements like NO2 and fatburners?

  • hwy brow, i some question: what do u say about ''ShakeWeght''? dos it work?

i know its kind out of the video, but i got it this days. hope u can resp, ty :D

  • @ifthisifthat

Are you serious? Do I even need to answer that...?

  • Whst do you think about my stack ? Advices ?

    Universal Uni-Liver, 500 Tablets

Gaspari Nutrition MyoFusion, 5 Lbs., Strawberry & Cream

Gaspari Nutrition PlasmaJet, 30 Day Supply Kit

    NOW Melatonin, 3mg/180 Capsules

    USPlabs PowerFULL, 90 Capsules

  • @bizuca

I think you got a lot of stuff LOL

But they are all solid products.

  • Just wanna share my experience with Creatine..I am using creatine for almost 2 months (almost spent the 300 grams package of pure creatine). I havent felt any side effects..I used 5 grams per day (1 tea spoon) and i think that dose is enough. I gained about 6 kg / i think that about 13 punds in less than 2 months. I've been working hard in the gym and only gained muscles..Only side effect is that you have to pee alot :) because of the water you have to drink during the day.

  • Lee i was wondering if you ever did a video on rotator cuffs? Lately mine have been getting sore. i'm pretty sure it has to do with my gains and getting into new heavier territory, but i don't want to stop or lose all these gains. So are there some things i can do to strengthen my rotator cuff? or things i should avoid doing? 2 of my uncles had to have surgery, and after seeing how long and painful the recoveries where, i have to say i want to avoid that at all costs.haha

  • @13AlbinoRhinos

Search through my old videos. I've got a "warm up routine" video that covers some awesome rotator cuff exercises.

  • Good shit...but I'm pissing like crazy! xD

  • should you only use creatine when in a 'bulking' phase or would you use it in a 'cutting' phase as well?

  • @alibhoy1

Creatine can help you maintain lean muscle while training for fat loss. So it can be used when either bulking or cutting.

  • Other pros have told me that it is beneficial to take creatine along with dextrose or other simple sugars as it gets absorbed more readily into the muscle that way. What do you have to say about this?

  • @virgilisaacs Definitely. A perfect post w/o shake would be protein creatine and some dextrose. For exactly the reason you stated. Thats what I drink every day ;)

  • I had no idea that creatine did all that. I started taking it the other day and i have noticed already that i have that much more energy troughout the day. It is definately the easiest supplement that i have taken thus far. Thanks Lee.

  • Maybe I missed this in the video, but I don't believe you talked about what Creatine actually does for the body in terms of working out? Like, what does it do or how does it help while working out?

    Thanks ;)

  • @cbentata

Creatine increases ATP production in the body which increases strength and power output.

  • @leemhayward

Thank you, and thanks for replying so quickly, thats impressive. ;)

  • Im 16, have been lifting since I was 14 and have never taken supplements, Im thinking about taking Whey and Creatine, is it a good idea? Im also short on cash so it is a good idea to only take the supplement creatine since its cheaper?

  • @UncleAchmed

Protein is more important for muscle building than creatine. Go with protein first if you can only take 1 supplement.

  • Great stuff Lee but can you tell me is it netter to take the creating straight in a shake or is it netter to take creatine in capsule form ? i got told that the capsules are not as hard on your stomache , so what would you say is the best way to take it ? GREAT VIDS

  • @jake30966

I just use creatine powder. It's cheap, it works, and you can mix it with pretty much anything (i.e. water, protein shake, juice, etc.)

  • IS it good for sports? i do Wrestling and Submision(Bjj) WIll it Help my performence and Strength or its more for Muscle definition like Bodybuilding?

  • @yoluigi

Creatine can help with sports performance as well as physique enhancement.

  • Nice one lee, its nice for someone to take the time to show us meat heads how to save money. I used to spend all my money on supplements, now ive made a come back gained all my muscle mass back that I lost after my 2 year break and I now dont take anything LOL!

Im thinking of creatine though, thankyou for the video, ive subscribed ;-)

  • I would love to take creatine but I noticed that when I take creatine, my face breaks out. Is there another way to take creatine or any form of creatine without my face being bombarded by acne? :( I don't want to be skinny anymore but I don't want to be like a freakshow.

  • Thanks for the advice about skipping the loading phase as I've always struggled with that. One question though - does creatine go off? I have some old stuff and I wonder if it would be fine to take or if I should bin it?

  • I consumed creatine for a week, and my chest exploded with acne. i stoped taking creatine and 2 weeks later my chest was cleared up.

  • Thanks very much for the information Lee, really great stuff, I just have 1 question if you wouldn't mind answering it? Iv'e heard that to get the benefit of creatine, it must be fully dissolved, is this true? If so, would it be ok to dissolve into green tea in the morning? Than kyou

  • lol, creatine just gives you that little boost. its no steroid. you'll continue where you started without creatine without any loss. your progress will slow down at most.

  • lol, creatine just gives you that little boost. its no steroid. you'll continue where you started without creatine without any loss. you're progress will slow down at most.

  • can i get hethy children if i use glutamin adn creatine

  • So, If i start taking creatine for couple of months and then i stop and continue without it, would i lose all the size i've gained and look just like the 1st day i started taking creatine? I know that you don't lose all the strength you've gained, but not sure about the size. I'd appreciate any comments.

  • @PrInCeOfPeRsIa898989 You will lose a little bit of size (by experience). Thats because with creatine your body holds more water so you have a puffy body and an increased pump. This helps you lifting more weight because you have more energy. But when you stop, you will not lose strength, but you will lose a little bit of size because you're gonna be that water retention

  • @PrInCeOfPeRsIa898989 I meant ''you're gonna PEE that water retention''

  • how many grams does creatine have bc i cant have alot all at once

  • do not take 30 grams in one sitting on your first day of creatine lol

  • is it worth taking testosterone ?

  • @timdogjohn

That's a very broad question, it depends on the individual. But a lot of middle age and older individuals can benefit from hormone replacement therapy.

  • What if I workout only in the morning? i will take creatine when i wake up and then i'll go to gym then use creatine again after?

  • @Imewora

I prefer to take creatine after training (i.e. mixed in with a post workout shake).

  • how old should you be to take creatine?

  • I was wiondering it says on my creatine monohydrate to take 1 teaspoon per serving so when i serve it with a regular teaspoon do i level it off or not?

  • @k0edus1ck

A heaping teaspoonful is fine. You can error on the more is better side with creatine.

  • @leemhayward For Protein Im a skinner guy that is on the go alot so I supplement with protein shakes that have high calories good carbs and low fat. Like Cyto Gainer or Syntha 6 it does cost me alot more but it taste 100x better and doesnt upset my stomach and helps me add in calories. But for Creatine I just use that Microized creatine monohydrate and it saves me alot now days.

I was going to ask you if L gluatmine is needed to take with my shake as well or do they already have them in it

  • @Obi1BenoBEE30

Most whey protein supplements are naturally high in glutamine. So technically you do not need to take extra.

  • do u know if a creatine that doesnt retain wat3er exists

  • When will i stop using creatine? because i knew that when you stop using creatine you will lose muscles. and i dont want to use creatine forever.

  • what about creatine pills like from gnc?

  • @09brianarko

Creatine powder is a lot cheaper. But pills work as well.

  • do u have to cycle creatine?

  • @bronsoon808

Not really, you can take it year round.

  • hey lee, ive been taking whey protein for a while but ive been curious about this creatine stuff. creatine vs. whey, which one should result in bigger increases? what do u recommend

  • i was thinking about buying some creatine monohydrate, and i read this. Among serious side effects creatine causes kidney and gastrointestinal disorders. Users have also reported increased anxiety, acne, male breast formation (Gynecomastia), and a reduction in penis size and hair loss. Gastrointestinal complications have been commonly reported among users of creatine supplements. im just wondering, if these side effects are caused by taking to much of this product or misusing it? thanks.

  • would you recommend creatine to teens? (ages 15-18)

  • hey lee..

i have a question.. im currently taking my protein as normal and a no2 supplement as a pre workout drink and training hard and seeing some good results however, i was wondering if it was now a good time to stack this with a intra-workout drink like xtend and posssibly a creatine supplement , and also maybe to use a fat burner with my cardio to keep lean??.. thanks .. keep up the good work

  • does creatine make you stronger or does it just make you look bigger?

  • Can you drink your creatine shake separately with your protein shake?

  • hi lee

is it ok to mix creatine a l-glutamine in one shake?

  • @poopskid99

Yes it's ok to mix them together.

  • what does creatine monohydrate taste like=??

  • @javaleira

It doesn't really have any particular taste, when you mix it with a protein shake you'll hardly even notice it.

  • @leemhayward what a second... you have to take protein shakes to take creatine or can u just take creatine?

  • Can i use creatine even without a protein shake?

  • @Imewora

Yes, you can take creatine by itself.

  • Hi Lee.

I read on some forum that you should avoid drinking hot drinks and caffeine while taking creatine, is there any truth to this?

  • @ShirayuriSky

No, just make sure you stay well hydrated. Caffeine acts as a diuretic. So as long as you consume extra water to make up for what you lose via caffeine you'll be ok.

  • @leemhayward Thank you for the reply.

  • Hi bud I'm looking for a good pre-workout drink super pump 250 or the same as I take syntha 6 morning and after training and at moment 30 mins before training but looking for a good pump supp for during workout ?

    B15DOV

  • Hey Lee, so how should I factor in the amount of creatine to take daily when other supplements I take already contain an unspecified amount of creatine like the BSN NO-xplode?

  • If iam 16 isit safe to consume creatine monohydrate?

  • I have been looking online for a creatine to buy but there are a shit load out there i was woundering if there waas a brand that personally recomend.

  • Lee, i have been looking at creatine supplements online and they all look the same. Just wondering if there was a brand that you would personally use! there are too many to choose from!

  • does it make u gain water by retaining ?

  • Hey Lee, if I skip the loading phase like you do, will it be too much 2 scoops per day (one morning + one post-workout) everyday for the entire bottle? Because on the label it says that after the loading phase, one scoop only is recommended per day. Thank you.

  • @Paparmane

If you are under 200 pounds than 5 grams per day should be plenty, for guys over 200 pounds go with two 5 gram servings per day.

  • im curious to know if powdered creatine or capsule creatine would be better for me, a women at gnc said that the creatine that comes in the capsules will give you more lean mass then the powder and she said you wont look as cut from it. is there really a difference?

  • @MichaelMacAdam

Creatine is creatine, regardless if it's loose powder or in a capsule. However, I recommend powder over capsules because it's much cheaper and easier to take the required amounts.

  • 16 years old.... to young for creatine? shall i wait till 18?

  • @ihateyaacov Ever ate a steak? Then you have allready ingested creatine, Its natural. There are no side effects.

  • @slayerromare so even if i dont work out or work out casually i can take creatine like lee does?

  • @ihateyaacov Yes you could, but on the other hand WHY would you take creatine if you are not going to train? It's an energy supplement that enables you to push yourself just a few steps more than normally. It helps you in your quest to OVERLOAD the muscle with HEÁVIER weight and more intensity.
