The original car, shown in the video with no paint and at '64 Daytina, is CSX2287 and is in the Simeone Museum in Philadelphia. This car was the only one built in the US and is considered the fastest of the 6 since the Italians did not follow Pete Brock's design instructions exactly. CSX2287 was the first to race, at Daytona in 1964 then won the GT class at Sebring the next month. The Cobra Daytonas raced through the next season (the 1965 Sebring is shown during the heavy rains).
I read somewhere maybe "sports and classic cars" that the bodies were re styled by italians at some stage and as a result were about 12 mph slower down the mulsane straight.

the reason it got somewhere is because it did'nt have american handling...
it had a good engine in a english chassis,derived from the ac ace.

Brocky drove a replica, not a real Daytona.
You can purchase the Kit/Replicas Daytona's from Factory 5 and other manufactures. Pete Brock of BRE fame designed the original Daytona for Shelby ..
