Ok. She obviously doesnt sing the way she used to. That said, I really liked the way she adapted the song to the way she sings now. At the end of the day, we still have the album version of this song if we want to listen to the powerful Mariah.

The fact is, Mariah sings live. If you look at the X-Factor in November 2009, both versions of "I Want To Know What Love Is" were live, and both were brilliant. She not only sang it live, but the belting and whistle were impressive - no, it's even more than that. And I guess it doesn't matter who is better between Mariah and Whitney. Mariah is a legend to remember, and Whitney is equally successful in her career in the 90's as is Mariah.

Hero - this is such a beautiful, inspirational song.

This version is sang with a lower vocal range so she can sing it live more progressivly rather than belt too much because as we all know her voice isnt has strong as it was in the 1990's but she is still impressive and can sing better than some of the crap on the scenes these days

She sounded way better on the inauguration ball! Eventho she made some mistakes then, her voice sounded more clear. If she would record this again it would sound so much better than this version, i'm sure.
