  • The Google App Engine is incredible

  • how do I run vb.net code on it ?

  • I would really like it if someone went back and reencoded the screen sharing. 2010 technology would make following along so much easier!

  • I like the fact that he's actually typing in code. If this were a demo of a Microsoft tool, your hand would first be attached to the mouse with super-glue and then you'd be dragging and dropping pretty colored shapes for a couple of weeks, or until your hand fell off.

  • But.. who "owns" the code? Regardless of patents, code needs time is money.

  • what's that editor he's using?

  • TextMate

  • Is it really any better than developing stuff with LAMP? If it's main purpose is to make stuff simpler, I'm not sure that that's working. Or perhaps it's just because my Python isn't great.

  • This Brett guy is dreamy

  • he sure does make a lot of mistakes in his typing though lol

  • That is why they invented the delete button :)

  • Yeah, PHP would be nice.

  • I hope the add support for Perl, PHP or any C-like language :] As i sux so much at Python...

  • You sux so much at grammar

  • oh, ok

  • Amazing. It gets me so excited with the prospect of being able to utilize bigtable and GFS. Also, I'm quite impressed that it can use any python framework that conforms to WSGI. I've just recently been looking into using pylons, so this is really incredible!

  • I'm pretty sure they plan on adding support for other languages in the future.

  • nice! i m going to check this google app sometime :D

  • Obviously, this is brilliant stuff but I don't get it.

I'm a PHP / ActionScript developer and this doesn't look like anything I've seen in any Python tute.

Sorry, but I think I'll just catch the next wave.

  • Dude, you must be talking about Java...

You don't have to write a class to print stuff in Python! You just write "print ..."

  • The print that was show is a response to the input... not just a print.

  • The last post was a reply for

"tcartoon" but come as a post .. ¬¬

  • you just need to view in high quality and maximize

  • That's exactly what I did, but it was still pretty uncomfortable after looking at the screen for long periods of time.

I think Google should really improve the video quality or offer slides in a separate link.

  • I Guess Google should consider posting high quality videos for important presentations like these.

  • I mean, the high quality video isn't good enough to read the screens.

  • Google is the best!

  • great! I hope there will be a javascript runtime...

  • I would love to give this a try!!. I truly believe its going to transform the Internet. My hat of to Google. Thank you so much.

  • This is just so cool. I hope i get to play with it later on.

  • python rocks :D

  • that's freakin cool
