Seagal is smart, he makes films at all those Eastern Europe locations and highers the local actors which makes the production of the film so much cheaper then shooting it in Hollywood or some western standardized country. And his movies are as good as always if not better. I guess if you are a Seagal fan it is perfect.
lol Polish actors playing Turkish badguys, there was only one pure Turk playing in this movie and that was the guy with the black hair who got shot by Seagal at the end during the shoot out.
Out of Reach is an underrated Seagal movie because of the voice dubbing. It is NOT that bad. Attack Force had worse voice dubbing than Out of Reach did.
This movie Out of Reach was ALL HEART. The sword fight at the end was good. OOR is a decent Seagalian adventure. There are a few good ACTION scenes and Steven Seagal dealt with a REAL LIFE ISSUE.
This and The Foreigner were his best Euro films made... his other ones done in the USA are just crap. Steve and JCVD fit well into Europe, Snipes doesn't cut it at all... although I liked him in The Contract.
I just finished watching this movie and i gotta say it was pretty bad. The story is kind of lame, the dialogue is weak, and i can't say much for the acting, i even skipped a few parts because it was boring, the fight scenes aren't that great...but that's just my opinion, im sure some people might like it.
No, it's set and filmed in Poland. You're right about the flags, but in the story line they were hosting Turkish dignitaries, some of whom were linked to the trafficking. Apparently you've never been to Istanbul, or Warsaw. Not only is the cast all-star Polish (I'm friends with Ida Nowakowska), but the ball, for instance, took place and was filmed in the Palac Kultury in Warsaw. That's as familiar to any Pole as the Statue of Liberty is to you. There's nothing here in Turkey. :P

i m from istanbul...lol what are u talkin about...i didnt see this movie yet i saw trailer and turkish flagss and prostituess n etc..where is the poland flag? :PP
The Poles rarely display flags. They're not as nationalistic as some countries. But it is customary to display the flag and/or play the anthem of visiting dignitaries (which is part of the story line).
Did you read anything else I wrote? That is WARSAW. These are known landmarks. The Turkish flag is displayed on the Palac Kultury, and the 7-series in front of it has pre-EU Warsaw registration. It's not a matter of opinion. I'll bet you'll feel pretty dumb once you actually watch the film.
And if that's not good enough for you, this is taken straight from Wikipedia:
"Steven Segal plays William Lancing, a former covert agent turned survivalist, tracking a human trafficking ring and trying to rescue his pen pal, a thirteen year old orphan from Poland who he has taught to use secret codes."
"The movie was shot during August 4, 2003 - September 21, 2003 in Poland."
Dude. It says "Poland" on the map (0:11). The plates on the cars are Polish (0:16 and 0:29). The actors are Polish (except for Seagal, Schulze and the black guy). The characters are Polish. The buildings are Polish (0:35). "Policja" is friggin' Polish (0:37). This is Poland, not Turkey.
@bumblechicken69 lol Polish actors playing Turkish badguys, there was only on pure Turk playing in this movie and that was the guy with the black hair who got shot by Seagal at the end during the shoot out.
Out of Reach has a number of ingredients that we've come to expect from Steven Seagal's movies and many are present here once again (including, of course, the final showdown with... a lame ass bad guy!!!
Can someone give me a credible explanation what a middle-aged man is doing conducting a pen-pal relationship with a girl in her early teens?
Yeah, i was thinking "what the hell is going on??" in the parts like that. The lame ass bad guy always talking in that stupid porno voice to those young girls, seemed real sketchy to me, hahaha.

His name Lansing is derived from his real hometown in Lansing Michigan.
I was confused when he made Nico:Above The Law when he said he immigrated from Palermo Sicily and moved to Chicago... part of the storyline I guess.
