These children were loving us during the late 60's turmoil, when we had no derection and we didn't trust Nixon or anyone over 30. Mike was my age. He was no more unlightened by the time that I was. I saw her in person many times at the Avalon Ballroom, the Fillmore, and Winterland. Even saw her at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds. Her last performance. I adored her music and the times. I was 19 and 20. She was an amazing performer. I had friends who knew her and loved her. She was San Francisco. I felt bereft when she left us. She didn't know how much she was loved.
