Though they are not pictured together here, Elvis did meet Led Zeppelin at an airport and watched as their plane landed. It is reported that it was then that Elvis decided to get his own aircraft, which he totally converted into a flying luxury hotel suite. Led Zeppelin met Elvis at the time he performed at the LA Forum in 1974.
It's not fake at all. Did you see the style of cars they were driving??? That was an amazing amount of footage of Led Zeppelin, and Elvis. And the song and the footage were syncronized perfectly. Absoultley amazing!!!
This is separate footage. For one thing, It's just a fact that met Led Zeppelin twice, and neither time was at the airport. One was backstage at an Elvis concert and the other was at Graceland. And for doubters, look at the airplanes. One is the Led Zeppelin jet the "Starship" and the footage of Elvis clearly shows the TCB logo on the tail of the very different plane. Great artists, great footage, but they are not meeting here.
@elviscash56 Yeah, Robert and Jimmy met him once and John Paul Jones met him separately with their tour manager, Richard Cole, and there was almost a fight. It's a really funny story, look it up :-)
@bellacomalaflor For sure, there are so many giveaways, like the fact that one of the planes is clearly Elvis' private jet with the TCB and lightning bolt logo on the tail, and the other jet is clearly the led zeppelin "starship."
ha ha ha you didnt fool me , I grew up in Porter Ranch and at 3:47 you edited in video of a black Caddy on Sesnon Bl in Porter Ranch California , and you are going east on Sesnon then get to Tampa ave where you made a lft turn which dead ends right there but you cut it out right before the camera could see the dead end and this was made within the past 15 ish years. then at 4:40 you go back to the Led Zep footage.
@BarryKunz64 Yeah, I thot so!! I was thinking that they were leaving the show in Chicago, or where the movie clip was @, and all of a sudden they're driving thru some still un-developed part of California...huh?!?!
Yes, good eye sir. I didn't notice that the 'grain' of film footage had changed @ first, but now I see, ur right!! And the turn on to the street that u discribed is re-played @ the end of this video...and I still don't know that anybody 'met' with anyone!! WTF?!?! FAKE!!
@wyzapple yeah I know pwople put together some strange videos. my guess is that its usually for an editing class or something . and its funny about those streets i recognised, as soon as I saw the mountains to the left of the street I knew because thats right where i grew up riding motorcycles etc right there. thats at the ver north end of the san fenando valley in Los Angeles. in fact that is about a mile north of the Wal Mart that that lady used her pepper spray the day after thanks giving.
Is the only reason why are there are no dislikes because its Led Zeppelin? Cause the video makes no sense, the two acts are never even in the same frame. Whatever I agree Zeppelin fuckin rules so so does this video
I agree, the band would never be the same. Robert not only lost his certain pitches in his vocals, he's got his shoe so far up his anal cavity, and thinking nothing about his roots and who helped him to be a rock star ( JIMMY PAGE ). He needs to stop being mean to the press about him and Allison. He might have still been with Band Of Joy making 100 dollars a night, or even homeless. He needs to thank his lucky stars...Robert would have been nothing in the music industry if it were not for ZEP.
I got to see the great Led Zeppelin 4 times during my life. I have seen many great bands along the way. NOBODY comes close to Zep,,,ya hear me? NOBODY!!
@Trexx1944 Lucky, man...Led Zeppelin is my all time favorite band and I had the opportunity to see Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin experience to get a taste similar to that of Zeppelin's unexplicable awesomeness...But then the show ended and I remembered it was 2011...
@LedStonesZep Yes I certainly count myself as a lucky guy having seen Zep 4 times. I feel so sorry for this generation that will never have that same thrill. Through a connection I was able to email Robert a few years ago. I wanted to thank him for all the great music over the years. I have never missed Roberts solo career and have managed to see every tour he has done. I would have to say the last tour wasn't my favorite as nothing was happening on stage. Strange Sensation tour? Awesome!
@Trexx1944 I'm hoping for that same opportunity to meet Robert one day, possibly his next tour with the Band of Joy when he comes my way, but that's really cool that you got to e-mail him. But in all honesty, I'd really like to see Robert do a reunion tour with the remaining Zeppelin members and have Jason Bonham on drums. That would be a show I'd pay any amount of money to see and hey..you never know? IT MIGHT HAPPEN! :D
@LedStonesZep Hiya Well hope that you do get to see Robert one day. I don't agree that they should get back together in all honesty. It just would not be the same as when the guys were young. Robert doesn't strike those famous poses anymore...the voice has changed and he would have to find a new way to sing those songs...no it just would not be the same. I think they did the right thing all those years ago by breaking up; without the 4 of the members...it just is not Zeppelin.
@matizzle32 Seriously 'Clown' .. LOL JImmy Page would laugh in your face.. for such a comment... ask 'anyone' ELVIS had nothing to do with zepp... THE ONLY ZEPP member that even had ANY admiration for elvis was robert and look at where he is now... hahaha.. THEIR existence is because of themselves, sorry ELVIS ISNT here to dance your dance for you!
Very creative piece of editing and fantasy but the Elvis footage is from March 1972 and the Zeppelin stuff is later... meeting never hapened at an airport. Only later did Robert Plant meet Elvis in 1974 in the suite at the top of the Hilton in Vegas.- but that's another story.
This was cool to watch because the lads had the grace to leave their shirts unbuttoned...but sorry...there aren't any rolling hills like that near the empire state building.
Grant never managed Elvis, nor did they fly together. Where do people make up such tales. The Colonel is going to let someone manage Elvis? That;'s rich!
@hotmn4u you cant deny led zeppelins greatness, they are at the same level as beethoven and mozart, the beatles were a great band too, but i just think led zeppelin took it to a whole new level of greatness, that of which hasnt been matched since
This video is fake, the used Elvis footage from the 1972 from docu. Elvis On Tour and mixed it with Led Zeppelin footage.
