This song has come to mean alot to me! While driving into Oklahoma City the other night on the freeway (where I used to live) I was listening to this while thinking about how much I adored and loved my city - the life, energy, movement, colours. And this song perfectly matched what I was feeling - velvet sensual darkness. Which is funny cuz this whole emotional interpretattion doesn't match what the lyrics/song is actually about. Velvet Eden 4 Life!
@Botanical9Aesthetics I'm not 100% but I think Madame (Tarantula) took Alice from her life and raised her as a prostitute ("Don't forget...Bedroom manners, how to evaluate men.I trained you in everything you know") and this was Madame singing about letting Alice got as she's taught her all she can. I think there was also more than one Alice, but it's been so long since I looked into the stories behind the songs, and what I just said made no sense haha.

Madame tooks her into the house, but there's nothing more about the moher thought. I allways thougt that Madame sings this. But why wouls she want to throw him/her out? That's too complicated. yes because if you listgen to the entire album its mainly about a prostitute house and the main character is alice so by la fin its the end where she gets kicked out then burns the place down while the mother is in there i believe?
