An abuse of capitalism, combined with a lack of regulation are the real concerns. It's not how advanced science gets.

It's what people do with it, their justifications, and ultimate abuse of power that might follow. That's always been the danger.

But I don't see why you see things so bleakly? So one sided...

Do you consider today a better time than 1730? I sure do. Despite the countless wars.

Abuse of power will continue, but so will super intelligence.

I wish he was alive today. Not just to see that the nightmare that BNW has not just been realised but transgressed in the worst possible sense but also in order that he could speculate on where exactly we are heading, which for me is looking hyper-bleak.
