  • some of these are like tuite joint locks

  • @stompySharpNpointy - Well, I was once a student of Kyoshi Jim Logue in South Carolina...! However, Rikesan promotes a "lock-to-hit" kind of flow, as opposed to a "lock-to-break" style you see in most Ryukyu systems.

  • @PendekarBobbe :) cool... Being in a wheelchair i have a lot of limited techniques i can do well..I think in my case Lock-to-break works better for me..(Cant run)I think i was able to glean some street techniques from the Kata i study from watching your videos ..found possible limb destruction techniques in the Niahanchi kata in Ryukyu Kempo

  • rikesan is not a style of silat, but a collection of technics about how to control and lock an opponent's joints, apply mainly in opponents hand and foot.

Rikesan is a sundanese noun (be carefull: not Sudan, but Sunda), its adjective is rikes, in english means rumple/tousle.

  • Rikesan style of silat ?

  • The soundtrack I'm wagering is Tears for Fears. I think I had that album. I'm so 80's, sigh.

  • as usual........GREAT
