  • my idk who grandpa i think used i think salt, sugar, water on it and then slide it right of with a knife

  • Ticks are friggin ugly and nasty! They're really gross to look at! Think I'll try getting this because my dog gets those things all the time during the summer.

  • i heard tick removeing remedey you take a q-tip dip it in rubbing alcohol dabb the q-tip over the area where the tick inserted its self....(SAFE ON PEOPLE AND ANIMALS)

i tryed it on my dog it died in her skin then i pulled it out and i DID check for the head my dogs all better know!!!!(:(:(:

  • people got animals extinct before which is sad cuz i luv animals but...............PLEEZ FIND A WAY TO EXTINCT TICKS WEVE DUN IT BEFORE WIT ODER ANIMALS AND STUFF SO DO IT AGEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i just got a puppy and love her to peaces....today i was rubbin her and i felt a lump on her chest and thought it was one of her tittys but den how cud a titty be rite up on her chest den i looked and saw a big fat white tick and screamed and and fell of da couch and dad cem and calmed me down i was so scared!!!!

  • Does it work on the Flood?

  • i hate ticks!!!

  • my cat has a very small tick, and its pretty fast

I dont have any tools and I can't grab it, its pretty fast

    what shall I do?

  • @xxxMittensxcatxxx

Wait...the tick is too fast? you cant catch a tick? Feeble...

  • @xxxMittensxcatxxx Are you sure its not a flea? Fleas will jump around but tics usually bury into the skin and stick there.

  • You know.. You wouldn't need the damn Tick Twister if you properly medicated your pets with the anti tick/flea solution that you put on their fur..

  • Next step: burn them. Burn them all.

  • @blondathartnhead agreed

  • but then his head falls off and remains in the body alowing the ticks bodily fluids to escape causing the risk of lymedisease to raise... this doesnt work... Yay you got the tick! Now his head is gone and your sick!

  • ticks suck. those should be made for human all ticks should be banished from earth for good!

  • I thought you weren't supposed to TWIST the tick?

  • clever idea!yes you can use simple tweezers bit late now 1 year ago???!!!oh i never knew that!yuck!

  • gross

  • Seems like a good tool, one problem though, twisting a tick like that is a good chance of it leaving its head in the body and only pulling the rest of the body away from it breaking off.

  • Use you hands its works just fine

  • thats cool!

  • This seems like a good tool, but I think you should slide it forward rather than twisting it. You could twist the head right off. I have always heard that you should never twist.

  • Genius! in a world of magical gadgetries and tech advances.. inventions like this really impress me.

  • i uassaly just use twezzers then burn it when itsoff

  • argh I tried removing one huge tick off my dog and as I was taking it off with a flea comb I must have used too much force and the damn thing exploded there was blood everywhere. Need to buy one of those

  • @chevyrgv

Eww! That is disgusting! Next time, get something hot and put it on the tick's body. It should dislodge itself, then you can take tweezers and flush it or something.

  • You simply put oil on them enough to drown the bastards. Then when you get the off, LIGHT THEM ON FIIIIIIRE!!!

  • how is this a good idea? if you twist it like that won't the head get stuck in your skin???

  • Ticks get huge, like almond size. Those are the best eating ticks. Let'em get "ripe" before pickin and then boil them like Southern boiled peanuts....mmmmmmm

  • this is stupid the spikes r still in there

my father works with them, he treated U.A.E horses that cost mills and U.S stupdi scientist r dumb

  • anyone have any good tick recipes?

  • i like to microwave them :P

  • try lightly frying them with some shallots. don't use onion-- too overpowering for their delicate flavor. if you're using blood-filled ticks, try it with some cumin.

they also make good ants on a log (you know with peanut butter and celery, but use them instead of raisins.)

  • I saw one in the wall next to my grandma's house once. I started running the oposite direction (was very young).

  • cant u just pull them off ? i dont get ticks where i live i think well i dont no much about them

  • Moron! They're not Leeches. These things are even deadlier if an idiot, such as yourself is naive enough to just pull off a parasite as nasty and as stupid as you.

  • like i said u dont get them here and ive never seen 1 till now

  • Comment removed

  • no cause its head and claws are under the skin clinging to the flesh. when they twist it it makes a losens the hole and ungrips its claws so it can be easily pulled out. if u just pull it out its likely it will only pull off the body and leave the head and claws inside which poisons ure dog.

  • alrite good answer unlike Evilspidercat

  • i noticed that. wat a dik.

  • lolz , Word

  • are you stupid? the poison is inside the BODY.

It's safer to pull off the body from the head than to actually burn the tick off, the tick would release the toxins into the body. The head doesn't carry the toxins.

  • are u stupid? if u leave the head it it can cause serious infection which can poison the animal if not treated. google it dikhead.

  • You don't leave the head in lmao.

I said you take the body apart from the head, then you can take the head out.

Don't try to be such a smartass if you don't know what you are talking about

  • yea you can just rip them off but sometimes the rip apart and its not very fun but dont waste your money on this peice of shit, tweezers work excillent

  • you can't leave the head in the animal because it could give you or the animal the deadly lymes disease

  • gag!!!!

  • this is a excellent tool to remove tick from your pets!..=))))))

  • ur stupid that can make it put its contents in you

  • Remove a Tick with ease... The easiest way I found to remove a tick is take your finger and rotate the tick around in circles until it falls off. Usually 30-60 seconds. Dont twist it, just twirl your finger around it. It's like drawing a circle around the tick using one finger but keep in contact (touching) the tick while doing this. It doesn't bother the dog and the tick comes out whole. No heat nor chemicals required. You can comfort the dog with the other hand by petting it as ussual.

  • W....W...why were these things born?besides annoyance, whats the pupose of them

  • yeah.. god made everything so it must have a purpose, right? WRONG! L2science

  • What's the purpose of us?

  • thats a good question lmao that makes me feel emo inside...

  • Mosquitoes, Ticks, Termites,.......etc mother nature is just on her period.

  • id hate to see her extremely pissed...

  • hate ticks :( i think dogs get more than cats

  • i just took 1 of my dog with scizzors an d my brother squished it is that ok?

  • no lol i would go to the vet asap as the dog might have got some kind of infection from leaving the dead tick in the body

  • no first remove the tick.

  • no the ticks head would just go into the dog

  • they can kill u, they are disgusting, i hate ticks >:(

  • Lol this is called a gimmick people, you pull the damn thing off and flush it.

  • This is NO gimmick.

Ticks give you Lime Disease and if NOT treated with Antibiotics as soon as possible, it can be FATAL.

Ticks have a Barb on their head and you need to remove the WHOLE tick.

This device HELPS with the safest way to remove ALL of the tick.

  • First off. Its Lyme not lime. Second, despite what the video shows you twisting a tick can cause the mouth parts to detach which can also cause Lyme Disease and other infections!!!

  • can you use simple tweezers to remove em?

  • You shouldn't use tweezers as that may cause the tick to regurgitate it's stomach contents and you may not get the whole tick out.

  • thats very true the stomach contents and saliva can carry horrible desease

  • ugly lil bitches, i hate ticks

  • what does a tick do to you if you don't take it out

  • makes its way to ur nuts

  • lol

  • pretty much it just continues to feed on your blood. females ticks are ones that suck blood to support their eggs and they can produce alot of them, Also if they continue feeding on you they can gradually inject harmful bacteria into you

  • i burn the tick.

  • lol, I'm sorry but why would you use that on a horse or a dog

First: Horse have thick skin the won't feel if you take the tick of with a chainsaw and unless you have a small dog they would feel to much if you take it off

BTW (cat may get PO if you pull it off so i would the Tick Twister so i can keep my hands)

  • It has nothing to do with how it feels to the animals. It has to do with "safely" removing the tick so it won't transmit diseases (like lyme). By twisting the tick with this tool, you get the entire tick out (mouth and all), so you won't have to worry about any left over attachments that would transmit a disease. Supposedly, if you remove a tick safely in less than 24 hours, it can't transmit anything. I'm not so sure of that, but that's what they say.

  • okay I understand "safety", but just pull the thin off and put some alcohol on the the area you remove the tick

  • my dog has one on her neck

  • Always use a twister

  • my dog always carry ticks on his ears and stomach weekly he need a bath and removal of ticks

  • my dog has one right on his weiner (serious) how do i get that off him?

  • ROFL OMG!!! That is the most hilariously random thing I've ever seen on youtube :D Thanks for the lols!

  • lol :p

  • You can also use your finger and spin the tick in circles. Usually less than 60 seconds and it should fall out. I used counter clockwise direction. Doesn't bother the dog. It worked for me and others too. Food for thought.

  • the one on the cats huge

  • buying as we speak.....I have a tick in my scrotum, looks good......but it has to go.....

  • ehhh

  • eww i just got goosebumps those things are fucking gross.

  • lol i was laying down in the woods today shooting cars withm y airsoft gun and i went inside and my friend saw a tick on my face and then in found three more deer ticks in my sweatshirt

  • im not sure this is a good idea!

i hear the head can still be in if you take it out like that and you can still get the disease

  • what desiace can you get?

  • thats an old tale if the head gets stuck in the body it rolls out in about 45 mins it happened to me doctors have told me that it still cant give you the disease

  • if it carryes a disease it doesnt matter if head gets stuck or not if its sucking blood you can get the dieases, if the head gets stuck the wound can get a infection thats it.

  • it hapenned to my dog the head was left inside and he was very ill for two weeks.....

  • i HATE HATE HATE TICKS!!!!!!!

  • i was pulling my fingers through my head one day when i felt a small bump. i was picking at it for half the day (i thought it was i piece of lint near my scalp) i asked my friend to look at it and he said it was a tick. i had the tick twister and was able to get it out.

i took it to my wife who is a veteranarian and she said it had limes disease in it- thank you ticktwister

  • I'm going to see if I can get some of the stores around here to carry this thing.

  • can u feel ticks when theyre on you?

  • they inject anesthetic / anti inflammatory chemicals into your skin when they bite you so you won't feel / notice them unless you see them...

  • Omg I just hate the sight of ticks!

  • I had a puppy who got ticks around both ears & in the ear canals! There must have been--40? At first it didn't register what they were--I'd never seen one. They were as big as a red kidney bean. Took her to the vet, who spent HOURS getting them out. Later I checked, saw some stragglers, & removed them myself. Gross! Yech--makes me shudder to picture those ears! Since living in the country with pets, I've seen MANY. The biggest(on neglected dogs)had been there awhile & were as big as LG. GRAPES!

  • always look at your dogs ears

  • does that even get the legs?

  • The legs are not embedded in the host when it attaches itself - just the mouth parts.

  • omg where do they sell these?! i want one so badly! my poor small dog gets them! i use tweezers but i feel they arent as efficent as this product! so can you people please help me know where i can buy one in southern califronia? thanks!

  • uch one time i had a tick crawling on my arm and i was just sitting in my chair and just saw something walking on my arm and i screamed "HOLY SHIT!!!" and flailed my arms around and jumped into the shower.

  • i had 1 and i used 1 of those and it came right out. gives a little popping noise though. ill NEVER lay down in grass with short sleeves and shorts on in tick season AGAIN. gosh im scared everytime i see black things on me then i realize there moles. lol

  • Srsly. I got one when I was about 6,and it didn't hurt at all.

  • i had a tick once, little bitches, they hurt like hell getting removed.

  • i hate ticks. those bastards killed my dog, one big ugly fat tick gave him some disease and he got paralysis so we had to put him to sleep

  • lyme disease probably

  • Wrote a very informative brochure with the help of 2 Lyme specialists. Happy to email a copy to anyone.

    Elaine in VA

  • Yup. You're right. My cat had one a few years ago and I coated it with petroleum jelly, waited for a few minutes and it came right off. I suffocated it with the jelly.

  • its not very recommended to do that. They just throw up all their nasty stomach fluids and you can get a disease.

  • Wouldn't squeezing the thorax, like this device does, be more likely to cause this than suffocating the tick?

  • how do i remove a tick from my puppy eyelash?

  • my puppy had one between his paws. he screameed a lot when we pulled it, then he started bleeding.

  • wow.... Im going to buy one,, my poor puppy gets those ugly things around his eyes,

  • check regularly for ticks cause they like to bite you in warm places

  • Managed to pull one off just now with my hands without squishing it or the head staying there

  • I'm a Tekken freak too... Julia's my chick

  • Got three of them on me today at my girlfriend softball game because foul balls went into the woods and then I noticedthem sticking to me later today. I just teared them out head and everything :P

  • you cn tear them out you know

  • those things are fuglyyyyy

  • ew...

  • Umm useful, my dog has ticks all the time :(

  • why dont i just tear them out with my mighty hands?

  • because if u just pull them out there heads stay there and continue to suck blood even if there is no place to store it.

  • eww gross!

  • @wrongmax

    THAT IS SOOOO AWESOME (wtf)

  • You could end up squeezing the tick's stomach contents into the bloodstream.

  • Every day I give thanks that here in los angeles we don't have many critters like this. They creep the hell out of me; stay away ticks, giant mosquitoes and spiders!!

  • I get boatloads of the giant mosquito bastards in Tennessee.

  • ok, so i was just petting my dog when i saw something purple and oval shaped sticking out from behind her ear, so i went online for some easy and painless ways to remove a tick, this video popped up, so i decided just to use a back of a hammer, you know the nailremoval part, it worked justa s well ;)

  • Does this method take away also the hypostome? If not, i dont recomend it. The hypostome causes infection if it keeps beneath the skin. A good way of doing it is making the tick to move herself with heat, for example a cigarrete.

  • Yes, it removes the tick with the mouth parts intact.

  • It's better than using a cigarette, because it's really easy to kill the tick with a cigarette and then you've gone no where.

  • Tick are ok,i love pickin them off my dog and then feedin them into a spiders web, great viewing!!

  • use rubbing alchol works alot better

  • and then you burn them!

  • dude.. dogs get them from outside. Any dog can get them as long as you dont live in a very cold climate.

They drop down from trees, crawl up and stuff like that:P

  • yes, true

  • We take good care of our dogs, but we live on a farm in the wilderness, every animal here, wild and domestic has ticks. We use frontline and think that helps a lot, but still we pull a dozen ticks a year off our animals. One time while looking in the brush for a lost animal, I counted fourteen ticks crawling on my clothes.

  • wow you are just so smart there buddy. i assume one of those pastey guys who hides behind your computer that thinks they know everything. maybe go hiking or camping for a few days or more, odds are you or someone you are with will get at least one tick(especially if they're hairy! O.o)

  • o hell yeah!

  • ii hope ticks die in hell, they have no purpose on earth. eww

  • agreed. Its no help in the inviroment as far as i know..

  • oh wow

  • tick creep me the fuck out

  • I Have a set of these and they work great!

  • WOW!
