CHEMISTRY DEPARTMENT CHAIRPEOPLE PLEASE LOOK AT THE COMMENTS FROM STUDENTS BELOW AND TRY TO USE THIS AWFUL SOFTWARE YOURSELF BEFORE YOU BUY INTO THE MARKETING FROM THESE COMPANIES. THE SOFTWARE MAKES LEARNING A COMPLETE MISERY AND WASTES SO MUCH TIME AND CREATES SO MUCH FRUSTRATION - THESE SOFTWARE PROGRAMS SHOULD BE OUTLAWED THEY ARE SOOOOOO BAD
I am a chemistry student at the University of Nebraska, and I do NOT approve of the message in this video...
The software is so buggy, it does weird things with rounding, and generally likes to make assumptions out of nowhere. Formatting is the source of most of my lost credit, and it teaches you very little of the material. Honestly it's just a crutch for professors who don't want to take the time to teach and grade assignments.
I used to like chemistry, then I had to use MasteringChemistry.
this program sucks and these video ppl are stupid The progarm is confusing, trying to input answers sucks and makes you feel like your ready to kill someone. The hints are terrible, and do you think you could show an example or something. Worthless is all I have to say. and the book? wtf is wrong with you ppl the paper its printed on is cheap and rips constantly at the binder holes. I know a hole where you you could put it
This program seems straight out of like 2003. I'm sure it was great back then. Just one wrong formatting will make you lose credit, but all this company ever seems to advertise is its ability to help lazy professors grade (all kinds of pointless "analytical tools" for faculty that they probably don't even use), but never really focus on its ability to help students, beyond this poorly made video. Makes sense, I guess.
I agree this really is the most confusing program. Even with my professor next to me I input what we both believed to be the correct answer and it wouldn't take it.
terrible program, really confusing on how to imput answers and the few hints I'm given usually don't help me. This program is really destroying my interest in chemistry...
Masteringchemistry is absolute garbage! The software is buggy, and you can hardly understand how to input answer! I hope all universities move away from this price gouging software, it is hurting the students.

It's easy and deecent. Only a first year mark booster thing though could be really annoying in upper years.
