FFX-2 = Sequal to FFX

FFXI = MMORPG

The original FFI, II and III were never released in the US, so when FFIV came out in japan they called it FFI in the US. Then FFV and FFVI came out and they called them 2 and 3 in the US. When 7 came out in Japan, they just decided enough was enough, so they called it 7 in the US too.

All the Final Fantasy worlds are completely separate to one another, except crisis core and X-2.

I really want this game but theres one hiccup thats pulling me back... I understand like theres a levelling up system which is a pretty cool RPG element but is it like for example runescape :s if you keep killing something you'll get XP and thenyou'll go into that moludation phase and it'll randomly choose whihc lvl you put up?

Just get it! It's a masterpiece. And it chooses wich limit break you are going to do, if you get 7-7-7 you'll level up. If you get like 2-2-2 and tundara is set as 2nd then tundara will level up.

Actually, its completely different than both. It's like Crisis Core, completely new. Theres no gambit system, and no command window. So its not a merged system. Its like those games in an action sense, where the enemies and heroes don't take turns attacking, but thats about it...

for those who doubt this game.....are YOU KIDDING ME! this looks like they finally made a game that will fully use the psp to it's best ability and who cares that the battle system isn't old school final fantasy the plot is bound to rock and well leveling up is probably going to hook your time anyways. Sorry to rant i just think this game is a much needed addition to the psp.

the FF series usually have a turn based combat mode but now theyre using the kingdom hearts kind, with new twists. the classic turn based theme is ok but this puts you in total control and you can do cool things like skills, summons, dodging/blocking, and a "modulating phase." even if you've never played FF, this by far seems to be the most promising game. and ofcourse, they still have the awesome graphics, even better in cut scenes, and a great storyline, as well as awesome music.
