@tristramshandy3 all the lyrics on animals were done both by gilmour and waters, but mostly waters, gilmour did most of dogs which was originally "youve got to be crazy" but was changed to dogs to fit the concept of the album, which is an allegory for the society they lived in

Remember, the whole album is inspired by George Orwell's "Animal Farm", which displays key events of the October Revolution in 1920 in what is now Russia and also represents human traits through the use of animals (and shows social structure).
