  • For some reason I like how it sounds here better than blasting out of my speakers.

  • Got this on clear vinyl 10-inch. Wonderful EP. Love the piano over the heavily distorted organ.

  • No she wasn't in the band at that time thanks for pointing that out, I think her grave is about 300 miles from where I live I know some Stereolab fans do go there sometimes

  • I wish this video could be heard louder (thank god i've got this single CD) :))

  • @freudastaire I uploaded a version with better audio quality in my channel.

  • @Viniciustlc thank you

  • @freudastaire oh yeah, I got the cd too, LOUD (making beavis' arms and face)

  • @freudastaire I like it this way Low-Fi in low-fi.

  • Mary RIP

  • great to hear a new song! thanks so much

  • fddfg

  • @lulicia11 grunge was good though. It is impossible to hear all the good music that is happening at any given time, otherwise you end up listening begrudgingly and work at pitchfork.

  • Dreamy

  • oh and i hear too NEU! inlfuence instrumentally

  • some talk about the similarity with the Dandy warhols... and i can understand why... i really heard the connection with another northern west coast american band...friends in life and brotha in sound with the dandys...i mean from Frisco... the Warlocks... but maybe that after a closer inspection you can even find brmc or early spiritualized connections...and etc...etc....

  • I got a first printing of this album. To date it's one of the coolest gifts I think I've ever received. This track is one of my favorites.

  • MTV SUCKS, need I elaborate? Hard to believe they played this

  • Sister Ray anybody?

  • @abebopmana - Haha for sure. Can definitely hear The Velvet Underground's Sister Ray here. Good inspiration ;D

  • @abebopmana ...yes definately Sister Ray! it could be a cover of the Velvets song if they changed the lyrics! the distoted guitar sounds so good....It couls almost be Lou Reed palying it....a lot of their early stuff sounds heavly influenced by Krautrock...particularly NEU! but this sounds so like the Velvet Underground.

  • we have seen...you are right...

since there sound was already vintage pastiche of folk, lounge, rock and psychedelia.

I love it and I can always mellow out to their music.

When I first heard them in 93 I felt as if I already knew the music.

  • I swear the music on this sounds just like something The Dandy Warhols did. I assume Stereolab did this melody first.

  • that and stereolab always makes good albums

  • You are thinking of the first song off 'The Dandy Warhol's Come Down' called 'Be-In'. And yes, the pre-dates that cut by about six years.

  • @Locust1313

You might be thinking of "It's a Fast Driving Rave-Up With The Dandy Warhols Sixteen Minutes". Off their first record "Dandies Rule OK?" from 1995.

  • I wish I could go back to 92' and start again, regrets.

  • @diViSiONdeJoiE

If you do go back, bring me some Crystal Pepsi

  • from wikipedia: On 2nd April 2009 Stereolab manager Martin Pike posted a message on the band's website, announcing that after 19 years the band would go into hiatus as "there are no plans to record new tracks". =(

  • MTV was just terrible back then, too. I'm surprised they played this! It was all about rap and 'the Real World' in the early 90s.

  • Comment removed

  • that's not true, I would say that maybe the late 90's MTV played bad shit a lot, but I remember quite a lot of good music playing on MTV in the early 90's. But when "The Real World" came, it certainly did ruin MTV.

  • I have been looking for this one for years and couldn't find anything...

Anyone remember a band Called Elastic? Not Elastica, They had a clip on Alternative Nation and an EP called The Nest EP... Do let me know.

  • É AMANHÃ? MTV Brazil?

  • I know exactly what you mean.

I love how stereolab can take a cheap video cam and for less money than a coffee edit into timelessness.

  • 10 intch vinyl one of the most prrecious jewels of my record collection pure psychedelic in their own way greetings from greece

  • Wow!!! Thank you. This song changed my life back in 92'.

  • mtv has seriously gone to shit. it's garbage.

  • It's like the first time I heard Sister Ray by the Velvets; this is exquisite!!!!!!!

  • i think they are my new favorite band. Saw them open up for air and they blew me away. Cant wait to see them this fall....

  • promo videos are always more interesting.

  • КРУТО!

  • thank you sooo much! never seen this one ...
