that could happen, i don't know for sure but the system requirements are:

Supported Video Cards at Time of Release: NVIDIA GeForce 6600-6800 / 7 / 8 / 9 series, Laptop versions of these cards may work but are NOT supported. These chipsets are the only ones that will run this game.

@cragfrag There isn't much known about Altair, obviously, but I know for a fact that it was on purpose. It's possible that he did not live in the Middle East/Arabia/Wherever for a majority of his life (or his childhood) so he hasn't had a chance to accumulate an accent.

No, I think it's the way they both climb around. Their climbing systems look awfully alike. Watch when the Prince climbs up the side of a tower, and when an assasin climbs up the side of a tower. o.O Then again, both games are from ubisoft.
