how did you practice? did you go from low tempo and slowly worked ur way up? I am practicing one hand rebounds on increasing tempos but i dont know whether i should practice with the paradiddles instead and on increasing tempos.

this is good, but try keep the sticks at the same hight the same time. as you got faster your heights started sinking which is natural, but definitely try working on that. and put a shirt on too.

You have reat chops...now smooth out your left hand......play slowly and record your rudiments ...listen to your notes, when they are uneven...fix the problem...make it sound PERFECT...when it sounds pefect, record it again....THIS is an ongoing process for YEARS...train your ears to find mistakes...you can find mistakes in the same lick FOR Years...also....fatten the rhythm...push the beat and fatten the spaces in the rhythms...this is old school and NO ONE has ever been able to do it for years

you are a good drummer no doubt, but at your level, you should be less SLOPPY at slower speeds...your PARA in paradiddles were a different meter than your diddles..para (space) diddles...when you were starting out...think attention to details...70's and 80's snare drummers like Rob Carson, ken maser, dave dilullo, steve campbell, tom float...have a ATON of attention to detail...almost computer like....

your left hand is gagging...eventually when it is faster it stabilizes, but at that talent level...you should not get sloppy at slower speeds...your diddle on the paradiddles were on a faster tempo, when you were slower...

...but you are still good...just think Old School..Dave Dillulo, Steve Campbell, Rob Carson, Ken Maser...the newer Snare Kats, are a little sloppy and have less attention to detail as the 70's and 80's meatier and detailed drummers...

@bandit48032 all i do is start slow and learn moeller stroke or get the basic concept of it with moeller stroke you can get faster than he goes. But I can be just as fast, all i do is just keep it slow speed up and with pain comes stamina so the more pain you feel when you get faster the more stamina your gonna have in the end.

Hey man nice job...a few pointers though would be not to lean to your left due to the traditional technique...instead bend from the elbow a little more and keep those shoulders square...next your left hand just isn't up to par with your right hand as far as sound quality goes...give more love to your left...overall sounds great and i hope you continue to improve.

heyhey buddy, sry 4 the late reply! but 2 answer ure question, i started developing my chops since freshmen year in hi skool. it took me a good 4-5 years of straight practicing (especially over the summer) 2 get where im @ rite now. n i still have lotz 2 go!!! but as a college student, itz super hard 2 find time 2 practice :(

but yeaaa, jus practice good technique and i would recommend a private teacher. also, make shure ure hands r alwayz relaxed. thanx 4 watching!

You've got corps chops for sure. Plus, you're practicing the right way. All you have to do is

1. Be able to concentrate

2. Be able to match a line's style

3. Have your music memorized

and you're all set :D

Well hey man that is worth it. With those chops i would audition for the WGI line first then DCI if u think u can do it. Also man the cost for the corps are so high it ain't even funny. Granted I am in high school and play first marching bass but i know wat the hek i am talking about. I learned a ton by practicing. My diddles are better by a ton and u beat me out pal. Now i can play snare, quads and bass drum. So i am all around and i might audition for the blue knights WGI myself.

Your hands (grip) looks great. It really more of a fluidity issue during the accelerando. I can see how its a good speed exercise but demonstration purposes as well as practing, it could be more flowing. Other than that I like it. Your left hand is higher than right during the hairpin singles near the end. I have the same problem at times. It's a bitch of a habit to get rid of at times during rising singles.
