In Donut Plains 3 try drifting around the second hairpin. If you can avoid the moles, you'll come into the last stretch a lot faster.

You drift very rarely, in fact. It makes Bowser and DK Jr. a lot faster and easier to control. You could probably beat the game if you got more of a hang of the controls.

@WilliamLongfellow i could also beat the game if i had the hand of god and the AI didn't whore out thier special abilities and magic powers to go faster than me when i'm in front. I still don't know how the hell i ever beat this game as a kid... meh, whatever.

@ChazDragoon I don't have the hand of God. I just played it a lot as a kid. But to each his own--I do hope you return and try it again sometime, though, because Super Mario Kart is a hell of a lot more fun when you get a hang of the controls.

I hate the first level too, but the bad thing is, I love the other ones. Especially Rainbow Road. I love the music there, I wish someone would remix it. Also, I love the course itself

Don't worry, you'll get it! Bowser was always hard to drive because of his size, and the game always seemed to be ultra against you when you play as him.

I'm having better luck with Bowser actually..i've tried all the other racers and i can't even get past the friggin donut land course with them. ~_~;
