The ruling doesn't allow "anyone to carry a gun". The statutes strucken down in 2008 and 2010 only guarantee the right to own and handgun and keep it in the home. There could be a less bias group in which to get opinions. Leveling any playing field is always a good thing. When honest law abiding citizens are matched with criminal's with intentions to do bodily harm the first one you will thank is the person that saves your life by defending yours. Hopefully it won't come to that, but if it does, no honest and contentious person will be happy they had to defend a life with a life. This ruling is simply an American Right and it needs to stand in place.

The ruling doesn't allow "anyone to carry a gun". The statutes strucken down in 2008 and 2010 only guarantee the right to own and handgun and keep it in the home. States and local government can still regulate carry in public. Seriously gun control laws only stop law-abiding citizens from owning guns. Criminals, who mostly get their guns illegally anyway, are unaffected.

"you can't say people can defend yourself without a gun" when you create a gun control you really think criminals can't get ahold of them? what about banning kitchen knifes and forks along with guns and raise taxes to the extreme to hire thousands of law enforcement officer to be placed on every block and outside your house...... there is law enforcement to bring order and deliver quality of service, but the saying is its faster to pull out your "911 colt .45" then 911 in the extreme need.
