Based on a true story=bullshit. Make a game and say, well its a true story since it is about Market Garden in WW2. And maybe they killed these exact germans and the group of soldiers citated in a fucking book is also in this game and thats all we care about.

This is the best game ever did. No matter how much times games like COD, MOH, Battlefield and another games about WWII, they can't be more cachty as this one. Tthis game is most realistic; because it really catch the drama, climate and involves the player to the story. You get into the Baker's persona, you feel simpathy from the other mans. And its there is not fussy and disturbing one man army objectives like the other ones. This game has the right measure!

no, it's based on the 506th PIR whereas BOB is based on the 50'Deuce' (2) PIR. Im not sure specifically, but i think its that way round. Definatly one of them though lol

this game was a little disappointing. it wasn't very intense and way too easy to pass. the physics were pretty bad and the story was even worse. i know they tried to keep the cinematic feeling but this is a video game, you're supposed to have a bunch of mindless violence and explosions. and the game was too slow paced. the intense parts were easily passed by just taking cover for an indefinite amount of time and just wait for them to reload and strike at them

well like i said b4. the game mechanics are ok. but as a gamer i also look for a compelling plot. wich this game lacks. IMHO thats what make this a horrible game. @Choppr777 Its clear to anyone who's familiar with the 2nd Platoon of the 502nds PIR 101st Airborne in WWII that the storyline is based on the places and events that unit went through, your squad (3rd squad) throughout the entire series every level is closely based off of the places the REAL 3rd squad, 2nd platoon F company 502nd PIR of 101st Airborne Division.

BIA is the clear winner in terms of storyline/accuracy and characters, since all of that can be backed up with historical facts.

@Choppr777 I'm a historian myself, and have decades of research of WWII, and have been to Holland, and Normandy many times, to the same places shown in the game, I can say every level is near identical to what it looked ike 60 years ago, down to the same fallen trees and dead cattle shown in areal photos of the battles.

The story of the characters in the series are semi-fiction, but each character is based off a REAL soldiers, who fought and did the same objectives you do in the games.

You know it wouldn't be a problem to have an American in a British unit, but Dawson really is misplaced because Britain entered the war first....so why would he be in the 101st AB division in 1944?
