both, the aliens are the akrid and are the main enemy throughout the game, but NEVEC are a human military unit who you have to fight aswell and are who the main story line revols around

Best fps game i think will be killzone 2. The first one was shit though, but sony gave guerilla 21 mill to make it. GameInformer got to play it and they said it AAA. ONly time will tell. Also, I hated halo 3, made me sick, i much prefer gears which is a master piece. Unreal tournament 3 will be awesome.

Lost Planet IS the next Halo. It's the only game i've enjoyed as much as the Halo saga, and the multiplayer is in every way Halo 3's equal. I cant wait for LP: Colonies.

well. anyways. i think the games should have more battle missions like the ones in the trailer. in the real game you only play solo missions. nobdoy else fights with you except in the prologue level, even then your team gets raped by some huge alien and they dont do much either except get killed or talk to you and give you tips and where to go and such. i still like the game, its just that it could have more more missions like the trailer. like with all the humans in the middle of a war.

I think my biggest question is why would you compare Halo 3 a FPS to this game a 3rd person shooter. Totally different genre. Not to mention the only thing Halo 3 has to offer is the multiplayer which lacks originality throughout the 2 current and pending title. (I know this because i played the beta) The majority of people want more than the same thing rehashed over and over and this game gives that. I liked this game alot.

Lost Planet was a very fun game to play. The campaign was very short though, and you don't fight the Akrid quite as much as you might think. Sure there's a lot of Akrid fights, but not enough big ones.

Lost Planet is INCREDIBLY fun and the campaign is uber entertaining, but it's the SHORTEST CAMPAIGN YOU WILL EVER PLAY IN A GAME! Like 5 hours on easy mode, no joke. Just rent it if you want a quick experience worth 8 or 9 bucks.
