  • The court case was a very bad idea, but Queensberry would otherwise probably have continued going after Wilde in nasty ways anyway. He should have left for France when he had the chance.

    It's so sad he was ruined for being ahead of his time and writing beautiful things. :(

  • that is actually jude law narrating lord bosie's voice at 6.35. At least I think it is, it must have been before he was famous. I don't think this docu. was made in 85 probably more like 95.

  • @acmedressform It is 1985 according to the video.

  • @PoliticalPars it also says the title is Oscar Wilde Himself, whereas if you look at the opening credits, the documentaries actual title is "The Life and Loves of Oscar Wilde".

  • @acmedressform Yes, it appears that it must be 1995 as the final scene at the memorial credits that date. Perhaps there are several short bios of Wilde around.
