I think it mught be too late to bring this back. They're already releasing a new series based on the Ultimate Spider-man comics. It's going to be developed by the same people who made the original Ben 10 and Generator Rex (Man of Action.) Still missing this series though... ;(

This show was amazing because it focused a lot on Peter Parker's personality. You really got a feel for who exactly he is. I like that. The new movie's supposed to do that as well. Can't wait :D

@Codejunkereg Unfortunately, Marvel seems to be over bloated with the amount of tv shows they have. Marvel Animes, Ultimate Spidey, that Avengers show for kidies, and Avengers EMH (i think thats all of them). Also, look at Starship Troopers Roughnecks. I heard they sold quite a lot of DVDs over the years and yet no one has continued it (though a theatrical film and a Anime film are being planned)

@T33JAY31 nah spectacular spiderman was better its art style may be weird but its plots, characters were way better and it didnt have really clunky and reused shots towards the end and it wasnt a victim of fox censorship so the fight scenes were actually good unlike the 90s series

Maybe instead of using millions of dollars to remake a Spider-Man movie why not use it to create a couple hundred seasons. When I die I am personally going to ask God to smite the people who cancelled this show and I think he agrees with me.

Well, I didn't like the animation style at first, and I'm still not a huge fan of the opening... But this show actually ended up being one of the best Spiderman cartoons I've ever seen. And being a big Spidey fan I've pretty much seen all of them.
Once you get past the animation style and give it a try it's actually quite excellent. Sure they take some creative licenses, but it's really quite well done.
Not to mention it's the only one that actually uses Gwen Stacy as a major character.

i agree with those who support this one. I love the 90's one. And this one is pretty amazing(or to be lame thing: it's spectacular....Ha ha -_- ). Anyway it's really good. And i say give it shot. And i do hope they continue it. Maybe even make this one go through the stuff the 90's one did. Except you know keep it orginal and fresh and new. Like they have so far ^_^
I admit that I was one of the 90s kids who didn't want to give this show a chance because I was nostalgic over the 90s cartoon. However, once I gave this show a chance, I have to say that it's superior to the 90s version both in art and storytelling. The characters are much more fleshed-out here, IMO, and it's what the movies should have been (at least it's what I hope the new movie will be).
I thought the 90s version's art was better too, but then I rewatched some episodes on DVD, and there are a lot of issues with the art, like with it being a lot more stiff than I remembered and mistakes (like with costumes being in one shot then not in the next in the same scene, etc.).
I understand that, but that explanation doesn't add anything to the argument that the 90s animation was better. It may look better to some in terms of aesthetics (the way the characters look) but Spectacular's animation is a lot more fluid and doesn't have rampant use of stock footage the way the 90s cartoon did. Believe me, I also love classic animation, but the 90s Spiderman isn't the epitome of classic animation.
have to say i never thought id like this show. im a 90s boy and always will be, still love the 90s spiderman and believe its better, however, don't judge this show before you watch it. i recently wached all 26 episodes and loved the show, it's is awesome compared to todays normal cartoon standerds and any spidey fan should watch it. im a little dissappointed they chose to ended it on a cliffhanger and that there won't be another season, it really is awesome, give it a try. 90s spiderman ftw tho!

2. How was the art in this show bad? It was smoother than the 90s one, had better shading and animation, and didn't jump from action to action choppily and quickly.
I like the design of Peter Parker in this cartoon alot better than the design of him in the 90's cartoon. In the 90's cartoon Peter was way to ripped. I had a hard time believing that someone of his size could have been pushed around by Flash Thompson
We can just hope the Ultimate Spider-Man show will be good. But I'm pretty sure it will be, the game and the comics were great. They just need to not mess up the story (so use the original ones) and make a good animation ..

I mean realy look @ the 90's one was it badass YES!! but it was well stock footage, was incredibly cencored,and rarity in other things, but it had great acting, and storytelling. It wasn;t that this show had anything, it was quite good dare I say it? On Par with Batman TAS. yeah it had its cheesey moments,but look all show's have them. Spectaular Spider-Man was actuly fun, Josh Keaton IS Peter Parker/Spider-Man.

I admit that I was one of the 90s kids who didn't want to give this show a chance because I was nostalgic over the 90s cartoon. However, once I gave this show a chance, I have to say that it's superior to the 90s version both in art and storytelling. The characters are much more fleshed-out here, IMO, and it's what the movies should have been (at least it's what I hope the new movie will be).

I thought the 90s version's art was better too, but then I rewatched some episodes on DVD, and there are a lot of issues with the art, like with it being a lot more stiff than I remembered and mistakes (like with costumes being in one shot then not in the next in the same scene, etc.).

I understand that, but that explanation doesn't add anything to the argument that the 90s animation was better. It may look better to some in terms of aesthetics (the way the characters look) but Spectacular's animation is a lot more fluid and doesn't have rampant use of stock footage the way the 90s cartoon did. Believe me, I also love classic animation, but the 90s Spiderman isn't the epitome of classic animation.

have to say i never thought id like this show. im a 90s boy and always will be, still love the 90s spiderman and believe its better, however, don't judge this show before you watch it. i recently wached all 26 episodes and loved the show, it's is awesome compared to todays normal cartoon standerds and any spidey fan should watch it. im a little dissappointed they chose to ended it on a cliffhanger and that there won't be another season, it really is awesome, give it a try. 90s spiderman ftw tho!

2. How was the art in this show bad? It was smoother than the 90s one, had better shading and animation, and didn't jump from action to action choppily and quickly.

I like the design of Peter Parker in this cartoon alot better than the design of him in the 90's cartoon. In the 90's cartoon Peter was way to ripped. I had a hard time believing that someone of his size could have been pushed around by Flash Thompson

We can just hope the Ultimate Spider-Man show will be good. But I'm pretty sure it will be, the game and the comics were great. They just need to not mess up the story (so use the original ones) and make a good animation ..

Why create new shows, I want to know if Spiderman ever finds Mary Jane in Spiderman TAS.
How about Spiderman Unlimited, please finish that one up as well before making a new show as the earth-counter part is still being in war with our rebels.

Why? Disney bought Marvel for $4 Billion and is developing a new “Ultimate Spider-Man” series.

@KHMSeries20 yeah t was pretty censored, but still got off with alot considering the years it was aired, and this show uptop was just so cheesy, im surprised theydidnt bleed gumdrops, the first show, you could tell the makers had the idea of spiderman in mind, this? was them trying to capture the audience that knew just the movie. come on comparing to BTAS? never that. That show was my whole point: it didnt treat kids like idiot, im a grown man now and i can still wonder whatll happen next

@kingk00 the diff between the 90's & this was quite funny. I mean realy look @ the 90's one was it badass YES!! but it was well stock footage, was incredibly cencored,and rarity in other things, but it had great acting, and storytelling. It wasn;t that this show had anything, it was quite good dare I say it? On Par with Batman TAS. yeah it had its cheesey moments,but look all show's have them. Spectaular Spider-Man was actuly fun, Josh Keaton IS Peter Parker/Spider-Man.

@shidogan001 well there ARE RUMORS Goin around that Josh Keaton will reprise his role as Spider-man and that most of spectular is coming back to repise osme of their own roles. Witch then got me thinking as much as I Lothe USM. (AND I DO WITH A PASSION!) it seems to becoming basicly Young Justice USM edition.

I hope a live action spider-man series comes out to. and if USM si basicly a water down ver. of a season 3 or Alternate ver. of SSM at least they tried.
