It's disappointing that car makers spend a lot of energy coming up with new exterior colors. However, now days, interiors can only be had in one of three colors, black, grey, or beige. It seems like car makers are working hard at not making offensive interior colors rather than being creative.
Whatever happened to deep red, navy blue, fern green, coca brown, etc.?

i like this cadillac a lot, i've always liked cadillacs for they have always had an era defining touch to their vehicles, you can exactly tell from what era a cadillac is from just by looking at one (that is if you have a clue about cars and history of cars of course) again, i like this cadillac totally inside out and upside down and i'd prefer having one of these over any german car since they turn more heads in germany than any german car here could.

the car is cool and all but the way these luxuriy cars are manufactured today s a nightmare to cutstomers. To simply replace the headlight bulb, not even the led's or anything, you have to remove your wheel, then your splash guard, then your inner wheel panel, then the bumper from the fender, just do do a bulb. Simply ridiculous. Also i dont know if you have a CTS like i do but if you think your battery is under your hood lmfao think again. Near the wheel. Simply stupid. Read before you get.

damn.. if you get down to it, this car is unbeatable. I think it's a great competitor in Europe as well. I mean Europeans love the bold exterior styling because it's different from the curvy lines of the European competitors. The interior is unlike "plasticky" American cars, if not better than a European car. Lastly the power is phenomenal. wow.
For me, the best looking interior I have ever seen next to the 2009 BMW Z4, Jaguar XF, Land rover Range rover and Range rover sport, Bentley arnage, azure and brooklands and all of Rolls Royce and Aston Martin's model range. I like how the satnav of the cts rises and shows the full screen.

i'm 17 and worked my ass off for my 14 cts. i had a truck before but the cadillac kicks ass. It's fast and looks great. The only problem is if you plan on upgradng the sound system be prepared to spend a lot. my new alpine touchscreen cost $550 to instal and i did a lot of the work myself.

I sell at a Cadillac dealership. I also drive a 3 series. You can't compare a $60,000 V series to a $100,000 M5. It's unrealistic. Is the V an amazingly hot car? Yes. Is it a better driving experience than ANY other American car? Yes. Can you compare it to an M5? Hell no. To get a driving experience any better you have to go to the BMW, and that is a hell of a testimony for a car. I'm very active in CCA events, especially the tech sessions at dealers garages. Having restored 3 BMWs I agree with you whole heartedly. Nothing compares to BMW. Not MB, not Porsche. They come apart and go back together perfectly. Nothing built like BMW, nothing drives like BMW.
My parents have owned many BMW's and several 911's. I must say that the drive and overall feel of quality is much much higher in the Porsche. The BMW is great but a Porsche is a BMW+1.
Thats the beauty of having both cars. We can disagree. I have a passion for restoring cars and have done so since I was 16. I would buy older cars do some work on them and flip them. Recently I have begun work on several Jaguars (2 XJS's to be exact). Ive also done some extensive work on Porsches as my father is also a collector. I have always found Porsches to be better built as their designs are often simpler and more straight forward. In my opinion Porsche is a better car.
Thats funny, I too have been restoring cars since I was 16. That means I've been restoring cars ten years longer than you have been alive. I believe you are correct in your assessment that simpler is better, but you got it backwards. Ex. Check out some of the coolant diagrams for water cooled Porsches, some of them have in excess of 16 hoses and they are famous for using tapered hoses. All that performance comes at a price.
Trust me I know complicated, like I said I focus on BL Jaguars. Complicated doesnt begin to describe the 12 cylinder engine, with that being said the design is far superior to Porsche or BMW. BL Jags were just made poorly, if BL had taken the brilliant designs and built them with the kinds of materials and with the care of a BMW or a Porsche, it would in my opinion be the better of both of them. With that said, Porsches engine designs work better, they are more efficent.

Ill give one thing to BMW though, the designs are more accomodating to the person working on the vehicle, that still doesnt change the fact that the Porsche is better for the road etc. One thing ive found with allot of the older guys who work for me is that they often miss the tiny details and well the story is in the details isnt it?

Great, but BMW is leading the way when it comes to SIGNITURE lighting technology. A Cadillac could be recognizable from the rear for years. It's only very recently that they have made Cadillacs distinctive in the front. Audi is trying that 12 LED thing below the headlights but its not working well for all their models. Sorry. That's incorrect. CTS-V currently sits on GM's Sigma platform, initially designed by Holden in Australia, and picked up by Cadillac for its exclusive use.

First, The 3-Series Didn't Copy The Cadillac Cause The 2007 BMW 3-Series Already Had Interior Lights At The Door Handles! That was in 2007, now BMW carried that out into their 2008 Model. So cadillac once again copied BMW. Sorry, like i said BMW did not copy the Cadillac and NEVER will. The only thing I like about the Cadillac is their continued work for Quality Interior.
BMW already has started to use interior ambient lighting in its 2007 3 series models. So, BMW sorta hit it first to shed light on door handles inside. The front tube lighting is well....silly I think. Jaguar has its yellow indicators by the xenons and I swear you can't see them for shit, I can't imagine Cadillac being any more noticed with the xenons on. I think its a nice try, but overall just one more thing to burn out and charge up the ass to fix. Go American Made.....
Jaguar puts a light overhead to illuminate the shifter area, adaptive headlights have been on VW's for years, A plastic tube that glows from a bulb at one end in the exterior light housing isn't really something Cadillac would have focused on in the past. Next year, they may copy the prius and lexus backup assist system and make that sound all brand new too..

The 3 series is a great car. I just don't understand why it is so overpriced. In a way the Asians and the Americans are in another class. It's called the "perform just as good, without the badge, that costs about 10k less" class. I don't know how reliable the BMW website is because they might not have a CTS to compare, but they have a Saab 9-3 and a Lexus ES350. By the way that G37 is coming at BMW real fast. Ill tell you to hold on tight, because thats gonna be a rough fight.
The new CTS is a beautiful and great car. The interior is absolutely flawless. Compared it to a new Mercedes C-Class and was shocked how poorly made the Mercedes was. The Mercedes was an absolute nightmare for the price.

i'm 17 and worked my ass off for my 14 cts. i had a truck before but the cadillac kicks ass. It's fast and looks great. The only problem is if you plan on upgradng the sound system be prepared to spend a lot. my new alpine touchscreen cost $550 to instal and i did a lot of the work myself.

I sell at a Cadillac dealership. I also drive a 3 series. You can't compare a $60,000 V series to a $100,000 M5. It's unrealistic. Is the V an amazingly hot car? Yes. Is it a better driving experience than ANY other American car? Yes. Can you compare it to an M5? Hell no. To get a driving experience any better you have to go to the BMW, and that is a hell of a testimony for a car. To the skeptics> Your supercharged Mustangs just got destroyed by a 4 door family car, in Handling and acceleration

I'm very active in CCA events, especially the tech sessions at dealers garages. Having restored 3 BMWs I agree with you whole heartedly. Nothing compares to BMW. Not MB, not Porsche. They come apart and go back together perfectly. Nothing built like BMW, nothing drives like BMW.

My parents have owned many BMW's and several 911's. I must say that the drive and overall feel of quality is much much higher in the Porsche. The BMW is great but a Porsche is a BMW+1.

Thats the beauty of having both cars. We can disagree. I have a passion for restoring cars and have done so since I was 16. I would buy older cars do some work on them and flip them. Recently I have begun work on several Jaguars (2 XJS's to be exact). Ive also done some extensive work on Porsches as my father is also a collector. I have always found Porsches to be better built as their designs are often simpler and more straight forward. In my opinion Porsche is a better car.

Thats funny, I too have been restoring cars since I was 16. That means I've been restoring cars ten years longer than you have been alive. I believe you are correct in your assessment that simpler is better, but you got it backwards. Ex. Check out some of the coolant diagrams for water cooled Porsches, some of them have in excess of 16 hoses and they are famous for using tapered hoses. All that performance comes at a price.

Trust me I know complicated, like I said I focus on BL Jaguars. Complicated doesnt begin to describe the 12 cylinder engine, with that being said the design is far superior to Porsche or BMW. BL Jags were just made poorly, if BL had taken the brilliant designs and built them with the kinds of materials and with the care of a BMW or a Porsche, it would in my opinion be the better of both of them. With that said, Porsches engine designs work better, they are more efficent.

and upon closer inspection the parts of a higher quality (generally). Ill give one thing to BMW though, the designs are more accomodating to the person working on the vehicle, that still doesnt change the fact that the Porsche is better for the road etc. One thing ive found with allot of the older guys who work for me is that they often miss the tiny details and well the story is in the details isnt it?

Great, but BMW is leading the way when it comes to SIGNITURE lighting technology. A Cadillac could be recognizable from the rear for years. It's only very recently that they have made Cadillacs distinctive in the front. Audi is trying that 12 LED thing below the headlights but its not working well for all their models. Very nice video though.

335 costs just under $50k fully loaded. That's significantly more expensive than CTS, and 335 is common & ugly.

Your entitled to your opinion. To bad 335i has sold more than the CTS. Out performed and is better built. From the factory it is better than the CTS, adding more options would make it the better car. CTS and 335i are 2 different designs that you just like CTS design. I like 335i.

well, I posted it in the video called, Naias CTS. Its actually really good. Runs toe to toe with its competitors. Its fast and so. Really luxurious, out does the Lexus IS350.

LOL your funny, I've owned Domestic vehicles for quite some time now and never had any major problems with them, all of the vehicles I have owned have made it past 100 thousand miles. Do I really need to bring up the sludge issue with Toyota, not to mention the new 5.7 breaking camshafts and needing the engine replaced. At least Toyota has admitted to the 5.7 fault and is replacing engines free of charge. Honda has the odyssey, major transmission failures and electrical problems.

Yet I see way more BMW than Cadillacs in California, Vegas, and anywhere else than cadillac. what I've seen on Cribs looks like everyone has a Mercedes SL or BMW 7-Series. I didn't see the Cadillacs there. Maybe a few Escalade. But remember the current CTS-V sits on an OPEL FRAME! So then again its really just a Opel/Saab. The new CTS will also sit on a Opel frame, and so its not really that good. The HP is nice almost 50HP more than the M5.

Sorry. That's incorrect. CTS-V currently sits on GM's Sigma platform, initially designed by Holden in Australia, and picked up by Cadillac for its exclusive use.
NO OTHER GM BRAND USES THE SIGMA PLATFORM.

First, The 3-Series Didn't Copy The Cadillac Cause The 2007 BMW 3-Series Already Had Interior Lights At The Door Handles! That was in 2007, now BMW carried that out into their 2008 Model. So cadillac once again copied BMW. Sorry, like i said BMW did not copy the Cadillac and NEVER will. The only thing I like about the Cadillac is their continued work for Quality Interior.

BMW already has started to use interior ambient lighting in its 2007 3 series models. So, BMW sorta hit it first to shed light on door handles inside. The front tube lighting is well....silly I think. Jaguar has its yellow indicators by the xenons and I swear you can't see them for shit, I can't imagine Cadillac being any more noticed with the xenons on. I think its a nice try, but overall just one more thing to burn out and charge up the ass to fix. Go American Made.....

Jaguar puts a light overhead to illuminate the shifter area, adaptive headlights have been on VW's for years, A plastic tube that glows from a bulb at one end in the exterior light housing isn't really something Cadillac would have focused on in the past. Next year, they may copy the prius and lexus backup assist system and make that sound all brand new too..

Check your facts carefully. You just did what Cadillac needs to avoid as well. Why does it seem Cadillac is rated with "jap" cars so often. I never compare lexus or acura with true "high end luxury" cars, I only consider BMW and Mercedes as cars in that class. That's where Cadillac lost the edge.. it's nothing more than a competitor to a modified brand from honda or toyota.. Mercedes and BMW will never be. GM had the first production electric car too - and GM BLEW it with that who market as well

i have to agree, i don't find BMW to be a luxury brand, i guess people believe that because yes, they are expensive and not everyone can own one, but prices don't make a car luxurious IMO, they are definitely a leading brand no doubt, and they make great cars, but i think german cars are over hyped, and i'm german btw.

i think i will wait and buy one after i pay off my F150 pickup truck.i've always been fond of Cadillacs.i currently have a 94 STS,and it's an old dog,but it's still nice.

Whats the matter wit u man. U dont gotta be hating. Don't worry, BMW will probably offer all these lights in a couple years, just so YOU won't feel left out. When BMW does release it, you will brag and say that the ambience lights in the BMW are better. Unfortunately they will charge you a thousand dollars for it.

Sure, trust me dude. BMW will NOT ever think of copying cadillac. Dude, remember BMW is WAYYY more ahead of cadillac. So im not worried lol. cadillac is FAR from BMW, Audi, or Mercedes. Look on cadillac site>compare cts> you'll see the BMW 335i. Now goto BMWUSA site>Compare the 335i and you'll see the CTS isn't there. Why, cause BMW doesn't see cadillac as competition. Sorry cadillac competes with Asian cars such as Infiniti and Lexus but not us. We get Luxury and Luxury-Sports covered.

The 3 series is a great car. I just don't understand why it is so overpriced. In a way the Asians and the Americans are in another class. It's called the "perform just as good, without the badge, that costs about 10k less" class. I don't know how reliable the BMW website is because they might not have a CTS to compare, but they have a Saab 9-3 and a Lexus ES350. By the way that G37 is coming at BMW real fast. Ill tell you to hold on tight, because thats gonna be a rough fight.

The new CTS is a beautiful and great car. The interior is absolutely flawless. Compared it to a new Mercedes C-Class and was shocked how poorly made the Mercedes was. The Mercedes was an absolute nightmare for the price.
